The Team: The Corporate Communications team is responsible for protecting Morningstar's reputation, strengthening the company's brand perception, and supporting Morningstar's mission to empower investor success.
The Role: We are looking for a passionate and experienced Communications Manager who will partner with all areas of the business to tell our story externally. Based in our regional office in London, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communications plans that enhance the brand reputation, engage stakeholders, and deliver on the business objectives across EMEA.
Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the director of corporate communications for EMEA to plan and implement clear communications strategies in line with Morningstar's mission and goals in the region.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across business units to translate research and data into accessible content and narratives, including thought leadership and PR campaigns.
  • Produce wide-ranging written, visual, and multimedia content such as PR plans, presentations, and media materials to support business and reputation objectives.
  • Amplify research and media coverage on Morningstar's social media channels.
  • Write and edit speeches and talking points for senior executives.
  • Manage high volume of inbound media enquiries efficiently.
  • Monitor and analyse metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of external communications campaigns and earned media efforts, including industry trends to inform communications plans.
  • Plan and execute communications strategies for corporate events.
  • Anticipate, prevent, and mitigate reputational issues.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior communications team members.


Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with five to seven years' experience in PR and communications.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear messages and storylines.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative, non-traditional approach to developing and executing PR campaigns and initiatives.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong networking and communication skills.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborative skills spanning regional communications colleagues, digital, editorial, and marketing teams.
  • A passion for Morningstar's mission of creating great products that help investors reach their financial goals. Personal interest in or affinity for investing is required, and experience in financial services communications strongly preferred.
  • Fluent in Spanish and/French, preferred.
