Exciting opportunity for a 12 Month FTC to grow your specialist Catastrophe Risk / Exposure Management knowledge across the market, as part of a senior team that shapes the future of catastrophe risk management in the global (re)insurance industry.


You will play a critical role working with and supporting a team of highly experienced Exposure Management Manager’s to understand, support and oversee the market, as well as shape and influence the future of excellence in exposure management practices.  You will receive a truly unique opportunity to collaborate with Senior Catastrophe Risk professionals across the market and subject matter experts across Market Performance (Underwriting, Insurance Solutions, Claims, Reinsurance, New Entrants) at Lloyd’s.


Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyse syndicate-level natural and non-natural catastrophe risk.

  • Assessments of syndicates' Catastrophe Risk Appetites.

  • Support operational and technical evaluations to enhance exposure management practices.


You will need the following technical understanding and stakeholder engagement skills:

  • Principles underpinning the assessment of catastrophe risk, including probability, risk modelling and catastrophe modelling

  • Catastrophe modelling practice, ideally from an underwriting organisation

  • Challenges, issues and trends in exposure management and catastrophe modelling

  • Ability to explain complex technical information effectively to a variety of stakeholders

  • Ability to communicate confidently at a senior level and demonstrate technical credibility

  • Ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders

  • Ability to structure and distil information concisely and clearly
