Who we are
Apollo, a Skyward Group company, is an innovation-inspired insurance platform operating at Lloyd’s of London, delivering data-driven and creative solutions across a broad range of risks.
Our name reflects our origins. Inspired by one of our founding investors, Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon, the business was built with the same pioneering mindset. Alongside Jim Hays, Neil set out to create a different kind of Lloyd’s platform, focused, agile and built around people.
Since launch in 2009, we have grown into a diversified insurance group offering products across Property, Casualty, Marine, Energy and Transportation, Specialty and Reinsurance, alongside Smart Follow and digital and embedded risk programmes. Our experience and unique ecosystem give Platform Partners the best chance of success, from navigating the Lloyd’s new entrant process through to the delivery of their long-term strategy.
With a team of more than 300 professionals, we continue to grow with purpose, combining underwriting excellence, innovation and collaboration to enable a more resilient and sustainable world.
Your Role
As an Exposure Management Analyst, you will provide dedicated analytical support to Apollo’s Specialty classes, strengthening portfolio oversight, governance, and decision-making. This is a newly created role that expands Exposure Management coverage across areas including Smart Follow, Political Violence and Terrorism, and Credit, while supporting senior stakeholders with high-quality insight and reporting.
You will work closely with underwriters, the Exposure Risk Manager, and the wider Risk function, ensuring exposure information is accurate, timely, and clearly communicated to support effective underwriting decisions.
What You Will Do
- Produce high-quality monthly portfolio reporting for the Exposure Management Working Group and Underwriting Committee across relevant Specialty classes.
- Support Risk Disaster Scenario (RDS) and Risk Data Load (RDL) submissions, alongside wider regulatory reporting, including Extreme Disaster Scenarios, Model Completeness Questions, TRIA returns, and Credit RDS onboarding.
- Report against Risk Appetite frameworks, providing accurate aggregate data and exposure insight to inform underwriting decisions.
- Provide analytical support to underwriters, including aggregate checks on quotes.
- Support aggregate oversight for Smart Follow and contribute to governance activity aligned with the Exposure Management Working Group.
- Provide operational cover to the Political Violence and Terrorism area during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of exposure management activity.
- Maintain and improve process and procedure documentation to support consistency and operational resilience.
What We Are Looking For
- Exposure Management Experience: Experience within the Lloyd’s or wider London Market, ideally supporting Specialty classes such as Political Violence and Terrorism or Credit. Experience in non-catastrophe exposure management or regulatory reporting is advantageous.
- Technical Capability: Understanding of aggregate modelling platforms such as Sequel Impact, Risk Link, Risk Modeler, Exposure IQ, or similar tools.
- Regulatory & Reporting Knowledge: Familiarity with RDS, RDL, and regulatory reporting processes, with the ability to apply these in an insurance or reinsurance environment.
- Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong analytical capability, able to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear, meaningful insight for a range of stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Organisation: A collaborative and well-organised approach, able to manage competing priorities accurately, with a proactive mindset towards improving processes and documentation.
What you’ll get in return
We offer a competitive and thoughtfully designed reward package that reflects the value of our people. This includes a fair and attractive salary, discretionary bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package - including 31 days’ annual leave, a non-contributory pension and private medical insurance.
