Valarian: Innovating for the new era of digital sovereignty

Valarian Technologies is a dual-use technology company building critical tools to safeguard the future in an era of evolving global security challenges. We're rethinking security beyond traditional military domains, addressing asymmetric threats that impact our technological advantage, economic strength, and democratic institutions.

We build Acra – the platform foundation for everything we do as a dual-use technology company. The platform’s name, rooted in the Greek word for citadel (or, fortress), reflects the design and purpose of our infrastructure-agnostic secure enclaves: protecting critical data. Some of the government and commercial workflows include: increased operational resiliency for mission-critical systems and functions; enabling organizations to more quickly and widely adopt emerging technologies while ensuring the integrity of their intellectual property; information flow during disaster response scenarios, and zero-trust / least-privilege environments for M&A, attorney-client privileged communications, etc. And we’ve only scratched the surface.

At our core, we're driven by a shared mission and a belief in making a tangible impact on our world. Whether you join our London HQ or the wider global organisation, you’ll be a part of collaborative, high-performing teams, creating cutting-edge software, platforms, and infrastructure.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Assistant to join our growing team. As an EA, you will play a critical role in supporting our leadership team and helping to keep the company running smoothly.

You’ll work directly with our CEO and/or other members of the executive team to manage their day-to-day operations, prioritise time effectively, and ensure they stay focused on what matters most. You’ll play a critical role in keeping our leaders organised, informed and prepared – acting as a trusted partner in the fast-paced environment of a growing tech company.

What you’ll do:

  • Calendar & Email Management: Coordinate and manage executive calendars, schedule meetings (internal and external), and triage email correspondence.

  • Meeting Preparation: Organise agendas, prep materials, and take notes during key meetings; track action items and follow-ups.

  • Travel Coordination: Book travel, accommodations, and build efficient itineraries for domestic and international trips.

  • Internal Communication: Serve as a liaison between executives and internal teams, ensuring smooth information flow.

  • Project Support: Assist with special projects including research, presentation preparation, and event planning.

  • Operational Support: Help establish and improve internal processes, systems, and documentation.

  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.

What you’ll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role (start up or tech experience strongly preferred).

  • Exceptional organisational skills or attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • High level of discretion and emotional intelligence.

  • Proactive, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable with tech tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Notion and project management tools.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure.

  • Flexible, positive attitude and a ‘no task too small’ mindset.

  • Experience supporting C-level executives or Founders would be preferable.

Benefits

Our benefits are designed to ensure our employees feel taken care of and are proud to be a part of the Valarian team. We are committed to consistently enhancing our benefit package, taking into account the overall well-being and needs of our teammates. Here are the key benefits accessible to all employees at Valarian Technologies:

  • Equity – because you have the right to own what you’re building

  • A competitive salary – because we value your unique skills
