About the Position
Reporting into Chief Operating Officer – Underwriting & Portfolio, the role will provide administration, diary management and travel support to the Chief Operating Officer – Underwriting & Portfolio and the SVP – Underwriting & Portfolio Operations as well as high level administration support to members of the Strategy & Business Transformation teams. The role will also contribute to the co-ordination of key internal meetings (incl. leadership offsites, quarterly management meetings and project execution meetings).
It’s ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organised, and enjoys balancing operational detail with forward planning.
Key Responsibilities
The role will be wide ranging and varied and will include:
Manage complex diaries, travel arrangements, and meeting logistics, including flights, visas, hotels and ground transportation.
Extensive diary and email inbox management for the Chief Operating Officer – Underwriting & Portfolio
Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions for key internal Underwriting & Portfolio team meetings.
Support internal communications on behalf of the Underwriting & Portfolio Operations team.
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Expense processing for the Chief Operating Officer – Underwriting & Portfolio and SVP, Underwriting & Portfolio Operations and other team members, as relevant.
Working closely with other EAs, PAs, and Administration & Facilities team, provide services to support RenRe’s core principles.
Provide absence covers for London based EAs and PAs as required.
Responsible for logistics of senior leadership Underwriting & Portfolio Operations’ offsite logistics within the UK, as well as a supportive co-ordination role on overseas events.
Coordinate cross-functional meetings to ensure timely delivery of milestones, potentially assisting in planning, tracking, and reporting on key projects and initiatives.
Potentially, support the development of presentations, reports, and briefing materials for the Chief Operating Officer – Underwriting & Portfolio and SVP, Underwriting & Portfolio Operations.
Candidate Qualifications:
3 to 5 years’ previous experience working in comparable positions, ideally within the Insurance industry.
Experience in coordinating events; small to large scale
Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint (ideally)
High attention to details and organisation - Plan ahead and think strategically about the ‘bigger picture’.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships across all levels within the organisation, across multiple offices
Ability to handle and prioritise tasks for multiple stakeholders based on business criticality and time-sensitivity
A strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines, responding quickly while managing expectations of clients and stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure while adapting to changing needs and priorities
Self-initiating team player who enjoys collaboration
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
