📍London | 💰£60,000 - £64,000 (based on experience level) + Benefits

Executive Assistant - Fixed Term Contract until March 2027
Immediate starter required

Please note: For this particular role, we’re only able to consider candidates who are immediately available to start on 10th August 2026

About the role

At Monzo we offer paid sabbatical leave to Monzonauts after 5 years of tenure. With several of our EAs taking this in 2026, we’re looking for an experienced EA to step in and provide seamless support to their leaders. This is a great opportunity to work across different parts of the Executive team.

We know that an excellent EA leads to better outcomes for our customers by enabling the performance of the Executive they support. This is why we are looking for a passionate, ambitious EA who relishes working in a fast paced environment where they have an opportunity to make a real difference. We generally work 1:2 / 1:3 depending on the workload associated with the person.

Joining a team of 16 you will collaborate with our existing EA team to keep Monzo running and to continue to raise the bar on what great support looks like.

🔑 You'll play a key role by...

Acting as a strategic partner to your leader

You'll develop a deep understanding of your leaders' priorities, challenges and goals, helping them stay focused on the work that matters most. You'll anticipate needs, identify opportunities to improve effectiveness, challenge where appropriate and act as a trusted extension of the leaders you support.

 Driving organisational effectiveness

You'll drive leadership team effectiveness by creating structure, improving communication flows, driving accountability and ensuring important initiatives continue to move forward. You'll be comfortable navigating ambiguity and helping others do the same.

Managing time, priorities and focus

You'll own complex calendars and competing priorities, ensuring your leaders spend their time where they can have the greatest impact. You'll proactively challenge, prioritise, make informed trade offs and make recommendations based on a strong understanding of business context.

Building strong relationships across Monzo

You'll build trusted relationships across the business and become a key point of connection between teams and stakeholders. You'll influence without formal authority to create alignment, remove blockers and ensure information flows effectively.

Leading projects and initiatives

From leadership offsites and engagement initiatives to process improvements and cross functional projects, you'll lead initiatives from concept through to delivery, ensuring momentum is maintained despite competing priorities and creating positive outcomes for Monzo and our customers.

Enabling decision making

You'll help leaders prepare for important meetings, decisions and conversations by ensuring they have the right information, context and insights at the right time.

Operating with judgement and discretion. You'll regularly handle sensitive information and support leaders working in a highly regulated environment. You'll exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality and proactively identify potential risks or issues before they arise.

Contributing beyond your immediate role

You'll be part of a collaborative Executive Assistant team that is constantly looking for ways to improve how we work. Whether that's sharing best practices, mentoring others, exploring new technology or helping evolve the EA function, you'll have opportunities to make an impact beyond your immediate support responsibilities.

🤩 We'd love to hear from you if…

✅ You have significant experience supporting senior leaders in a fast paced environment.

✅ You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable making decisions, solving problems and navigating competing priorities.

✅ You operate as a trusted partner to leaders, not just an administrator.

✅ You have excellent judgement, strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.

✅ You build strong relationships and influence effectively across all levels of an organisation.

✅ You're experienced using Slack, (G Suite), AI and other modern workplace tools, and are comfortable leveraging technology to work efficiently.

✅ Experience in technology, scale up or similarly fast moving environments is highly desirable.

🌈 What success looks like

What you need to know about the London Tech Scene

London isn't just a hub for established businesses; it's also a nursery for innovation. Boasting one of the most recognized fintech ecosystems in Europe, attracting billions in investments each year, London's success has made it a go-to destination for startups looking to make their mark. Top U.K. companies like Hoptin, Moneybox and Marshmallow have already made the city their base — yet fintech is just the beginning. From healthtech to renewable energy to cybersecurity and beyond, the city's startups are breaking new ground across a range of industries.
