What you’ll be doing

This is a critical Executive Assistant role supporting the Managing Director of Unsecured Lending within Consumer Lending at Lloyds Banking Group. Acting as a trusted partner, you’ll play a key role in setting the rhythm of the leadership team and enabling robust, timely decision‑making across a complex and fast‑moving environment. You’ll ensure the Managing Director is fully briefed and prepared for Executive, Board and external engagements, working closely with senior leaders across the business to coordinate clear, high‑quality inputs. You’ll also represent the MD in internal and external forums where required, building strong relationships and providing continuity, clarity and confidence on their behalf.

Alongside this, you’ll support effective governance and delivery across Unsecured Lending, coordinating papers, actions and follow‑ups to enable well‑informed decisions. You’ll produce impactful, high‑visibility materials for senior audiences, undertake research and analysis across a wide range of topics, and continuously look for ways to improve how the leadership team operates. This is a role for someone comfortable operating at pace, exercising strong judgement, handling sensitive matters with confidence and delivering outstanding outcomes through others.

Essential Skills
  • 5+ years experience working within unsecured lending, consumer lending or a broader financial services environment

  • Proven experience partnering with senior or executive‑level stakeholders, supporting decision‑making and influencing outcomes at pace

  • Strong judgement, with the confidence to handle sensitive matters, balance competing priorities and act as a trusted deputy when required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing high‑quality materials for senior audiences such as Executive Committees or Boards

  • Ability to operate calmly and effectively in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment, anticipating issues and driving clarity through others

Desirable Skills
  • Experience operating in an Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff or strategy role within financial services

  • Experience representing senior leaders in internal or external forums

  • Familiarity with governance frameworks, regulatory environments or risk‑led organisations
