As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll develop maintainable server-side code, collaborate with teams, and enhance product development while tackling technical debt.

Lead strategy delivery for assigned Agentic AI domains: shape use cases, assess value and feasibility, create roadmaps and value cases, drive execution with business and technology partners, manage risks and dependencies, and track measurable outcomes to ensure aligned, deliverable AI initiatives.

Manage and grow a portfolio of independent school and SME clients by providing lending (term loans, invoice finance, hire purchase, trade), deposit services, and cross-selling bank products. Develop local market relationships, acquire new high-value clients, use specialist credit and sector knowledge, adopt digital tools, and proactively manage risk while supporting team and regional goals.

Provide advanced technical support and maintenance for mainframe Db2 on z/OS, including performance monitoring and tuning, DDL governance, troubleshooting critical online systems, driving the zDBA roadmap, implementing standardisation improvements, and coaching junior staff. Support includes incident and problem resolution and out-of-hours work as required.
