The Role: Working in the events team and reporting to the Director of Events, EMEA, the Events Associate, EMEA will actively support the team across the region in successfully executing Morningstar's digital and live events planned throughout the year. The role requires good communication, flexibility and a positive 'can do' attitude. This position is based in our London office.
The Team: Marketing and Communications creates integrated communications and campaigns that aim to make the Morningstar brand tribal. Consisting of marketing managers, event planners, designers, writers, corporate communications professionals, digital strategists, behavioural scientists, and more, this collaborative team serves our marketing needs across our business. We are data-driven experimenters who work to deliver the right messages to the right people at the right time. We also drive demand by developing go-to-market strategies for Morningstar products. The team works globally to maintain a consistent brand experience everywhere Morningstar serves investors.
Responsibilities
+ Working in support of the EMEA event team to coordinate and execute a series of online and live events throughout the year, including: own-hosted conferences, regional adviser forums and roadshows; executive level forums; awards ceremonies; private dining; corporate hospitality; and administration of Morningstar's involvement in third-party conferences.
+ Execute a series of webinars using Zoom Webinar.
+ Support the coordination, management and execution of invitation process for events and webinars.
+ Build and execute social media plans, gathering assets and writing copy for posts.
+ Maintain the events calendar.
+ Ensure that contingencies are in place for keynote speakers, live events and other potential last-minute changes that will require you to trouble-shoot and adapt.
+ Coordinate internal and external speakers and resources and maintain schedules to avoid conflicting dates.
+ Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure a consistently high-profile and high-quality association for the Morningstar brand, and where appropriate, work with Media team to ensure pre- and post-event media coverage of events.
+ Collaborate and build good working relationships with internal creative services team.
+ Meet and greet and general support on the day for live events, and manage the attendee experience for online events.
+ Collect, analyse and report attendees' feedback.
+ Coordinate the tracking of event marketing qualified leads over to sales team, and subsequent conversion rates.
+ Adhere to all internal procedures and business requirements.
+ Provide accurate and timely event reports.
+ Build a solid network with key clients.
Requirements
+ Minimum 2 years' relevant experience.
+ Investment industry or general financial services knowledge preferred.
+ Bachelor's degree.
+ Proven ability supporting or running events through the entire event life-cycle-both live and digital.
+ Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with broader team, and to deliver each event from the ground-up, using a hands-on approach.
+ Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal, with the ability to adjust communication style to suit audience. Must be professional when dealing with senior stakeholders and other team members.
+ Proficient with Microsoft office with the ability to quickly learn new systems (e.g. project management software, payment processing software, email marketing platform etc.).
+ Experience using email marketing systems (e.g. Eloqua or equivalent), webinar platforms (e.g. Zoom or equivalent), event registration software (e.g. Cvent), digital event platforms (e.g. Intrado, Cvent Virtual Attendee Hub) is preferred.
+ Ability to solve problems creatively with available resources.
+ Ability to juggle a heavy workload, often with conflicting timelines.
+ Must remain calm under pressure.
+ Be process-driven; ability to adapt existing/create new processes to enable efficient output without jeopardising quality.
+ Organised and logical with ability to pay close attention to detail whilst maintaining consistent approach.
+ Must be proactive and show initiative; as evidenced with previous experience.
+ Ability and willingness to travel.
