The Team:

We are a fast-moving, analytically driven B2B marketing team. We show innovative companies how they can improve their applications and get to market faster. We do hundreds of events, thousands of marketing campaigns, research and evangelize ideas that move our industry forward, and more. We are a team of innovators that take exciting and unexpected ideas and bring them to life – and have fun while doing it!

The opportunity:

Datadog is seeking an Event Marketing Manager to join our high-performing team and support third-party events and tradeshows across the EMEA region. As a key member of Datadog's Event Marketing team – the driving force behind our high-impact, experiential marketing programs – you will play a critical role in executing best-in-class events that generate leads, pipeline, and scale our brand presence. With hundreds of events run globally each year, this role requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering high-quality event experiences, consistently meeting deadlines, and collaborating cross-functionally. If you're passionate about creating impactful brand experiences and excited to help shape Datadog's event footprint across EMEA, we'd love to hear from you!

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Datadog's end-to-end presence at large-scale third-party (sponsored) events in EMEA, including strategy, planning, logistics, onsite execution, staffing, audience engagement, and performance measurement.
  • Uphold high standards for live event experiences, ensuring strong brand alignment and delivering programs accountable for measurable pipeline contribution — leads generated, opportunities influenced, and pipeline created — with every investment decision defensible with data.
  • Evaluate sponsorship packages and make activation investment decisions (tier selection, add-ons, what to cut) grounded in pipeline return; support contract preparation, negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate event research, vendor evaluation, briefing documents, post-event reporting, and stakeholder communications — improving speed and quality of outputs.
  • Partner closely with the broader EMEA Marketing team to ensure cohesive regional planning and integrated execution.
  • Collaborate with EMEA teams on regional initiatives, share best practices, align workflows, and support select events across EMEA.
  • Enhance operational workflows by improving planning processes, lead capture mechanisms, reporting templates, and execution frameworks.
  • Track, analyze, and report on event KPIs, ROI, and budget accuracy; ensure data integrity and timely post-event follow-up.
  • Identify new event opportunities, market trends, and innovative experiential approaches to strengthen Datadog's presence in EMEA.
  • Model calm, professional behavior in high-pressure situations and help foster a positive, proactive, and collaborative team environment.
  • Manage event logistics including vendor sourcing, booth configuration, shipping, asset coordination, and onsite operations.
  • Ensure seamless onsite execution through detailed planning, strong contingency management, and confident troubleshooting.
  • Travel up to 50% to support events in EMEA.

Who You Are

  • 4-6 years of event management experience in a high-tech, B2B, or fast-paced environment managing lead-generating events.
  • Fluent in English (other international languages a bonus).
  • Experience running international events or working with multicultural teams is a plus.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, and budgets simultaneously.
  • Able to stay calm and professional in high-stress, fast-changing event environments.
  • Comfortable partnering closely with Sales teams, resolving onsite issues, and communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong reporting and analytical skills; proficiency with Salesforce, Tableau, Metabase, or similar tools required.
  • Comfortable using AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) in daily workflows; curious about applying AI to streamline event planning, lead enrichment, and reporting.
  • Positive, proactive, team-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Comfortable with flexible hours, including evenings/weekends during event cycles.
  • Able to lift up to 11kg and stand for extended periods during events.
