The region of focus markets/applications: Europe for applications in energy stability with synchronous condensers, Geothermal Projects (Process with ORC and STG), LDES (Long Duration Energy Storage) and CHP projects. You will also cover globally an expertise in Integrated Energy.

As Europe Strategic CPS Integrated Energy Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Sales team while working cross-functionally with product line leadership, engineering and commercial team in the Prospecting efforts: New clients/market acquisitions, supports and applies the new product development go-to-market strategy orienting Sales towards relevant geographies / applications/key stakeholders.

  • Promoting and driving value proposition development for proposed solutions with competition assessment – listening to customer needs and architecting technical solutions and the business value proposition of Baker Hughes technology.

  • Interacting in early stages of project development to increase generate demand and increase market penetration for Baker Hughes solutions.

  • Aligning capabilities to specific outcomes, creating reference architectures, and calculating potential solution value.

  • Evaluating application of technology for industry processes. Customizing technology and influencing customer process modifications to drive the adoption of Baker Hughes products.

  • Handling complex products and systems requiring technical knowledge and knowledge of the environment where the products or systems will be used. Products and systems are client specific and require technical analysis and system design to fit client conditions.

  • Creating a strong qualified pipeline of opportunities, participating to project screening and applying prioritization strategy using project scoring tools or matrixes.

  • Verifying technical feasibility and resource availability for each opportunity.

  • Supporting the development of new Business Models /Consortium /Strategic Partnership.

  • Managing complex interactions and discussions requiring involvement of many stakeholders from the client and internally. Technical, economical, logistical and financial aspects are involved in creating the optimum solution for the project.

  • Coordinating and influencing teams involving engineering, legal, risk, finance etc.

  • Conceptualizing and executing a thought leadership strategy to make Baker Hughes visible, heard, and pursued as the partner of choice.

  • Participating to Fairs/Events.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have experience in integrated energy solutions, geothermal ORC /STG, combined cycle GT plant, cogeneration plants – CHP, LDES (Long Duration Energy Storage).

  • Have strong capabilities in turbomachinery equipment such as centrifugal compression/axial compression/ICL, gas turbines (GT’s), steam turbine generators (STG’s), turboexpanders applying a solution approach integrating all the equipment required in integrated energy customer solution.

  • Have experience in Utilities, IPP’s (Independent Power Producers) and the energy market.

  • Have experience in Project Engineering / Development related to electricity market, power generation, geothermal, microgrids.

  • Have thermal engineering software experience in power and cogeneration industries. Knowledge of Thermoflow is advantageous as well as GTPro.

  • Have experience of performing business case assessment or pre-feasibility studies.

  • Have familiarity with project economics CAPEX, OPEX and LCOE.

  • Have business acumen and proactive approach to actively generate new demand, and address clients needs on CPS solutions.

  • Be commercially savvy, aptitude for building relationships, understanding of customer requirements and market conditions to drive creation and deployment of value propositions.

  • Have excellent verbal and written skills and be able to communicate fluently in English.

  • Be able to travel internationally to visit customers or Baker Hughes locations.

  • Demonstrate leadership skills leading teams in a matrix environment.

  • Be able to build relationships with internal and external customers.

  • Be able to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Have established project management skills.

  • Be a motivated self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to lead and solve problems
