Help Build Europe's Hypersonic Capability

At Hypersonica, we’re redefining what’s possible in European defence technology. We exist to deliver speed, resilience, and technological independence at a pace that sets a new standard. We are a small, elite team working on problems that matter, and solving them fast.

By joining Hypersonica, you’re not stepping into a predefined role. You’re joining a talent dense environment where every individual shapes the direction of the company. Our philosophy is to hire a small number of exceptional people with broad, deep technical capability, strong judgement, and the ability to operate autonomously.

We hire for talent, not rigid boxes. This role represents a business need, but the way it evolves will be shaped by the individual. If you’ve achieved what others said was impossible, or you bring a unique combination of skills that doesn’t fit a traditional mould, we want to hear from you. The work you do here directly contributes to Europe’s technological independence.

What you'll do

    • Own SAP Cloud ERP end-to-end, with a primary focus on SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition — from fit-to-standard setup and role design to stable operations, release management, training, and continuous improvement

    • Build SAP best-practice processes from scratch across Hypersonica’s manufacturing value chain, including finance, procurement, supplier management, sales/logistics, manufacturing, serial/batch traceability, warehousing, inventory, quality, and maintenance — turning SAP into the operational “single source of truth”

    • Own the SAP operating model: super-user network, process documentation, change control, release/regression testing, issue triage, root-cause fixes, and a prioritized improvement backlog

    • Configure and continuously improve SAP Sales Cloud and SAP SuccessFactors, ensuring clean processes, reliable integrations, strong adoption, and high data quality across commercial and people operations

    • Own business-critical integrations between SAP and adjacent tools — e.g. identity/access, finance/reporting, HR, CRM, procurement, inventory, document management, and relevant manufacturing/engineering systems in coordination with IT infrastructure and consistent with applicable compliance frameworks and standards

    • Participate actively in IT governance processes including the change advisory process, ISMS asset ownership, access model reviews, and architecture decisions that span business applications and coreIT infrastructure

    • Act as the business owner for enterprise SaaS and business applications beyond SAP, including vendor selection support, configuration, license management, integration requirements, user enablement, and lifecycle governance

    • Take responsibility for application administration and tooling operations as integral part of the IT organization, but focused on business systems, not core infrastructure, endpoint management, or Kubernetes/Linux operations

    • Build lightweight but robust internal workflows and automations, forms, approval flows, reporting dashboards, and structured data repositories where a full ERP workflow is not yet appropriate

    • Own business systems data quality: master data standards, user access hygiene, approval workflows, audit trails, dashboards, and exception reporting across SAP and adjacent SaaS tools

    • Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, People, Sales, IT, and Engineering teams to translate messy operational needs into scalable, secure, and usable systems

Who you are

    • You have a proven track record implementing and operating SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition in a real business environment — ideally in manufacturing, industrials, aerospace, defence, automotive, hardware, or another complex physical-product company

    • You understand what “fit-to-standard” really means: you can challenge customisation requests, guide teams toward best practice, and configure clean processes that scale rather than creating brittle workarounds

    • You have hands-on experience with SAP Sales Cloud and SAP SuccessFactors, and you are comfortable owning both business configuration and day-to-day operational support

    • You are strong across business applications beyond SAP: SaaS administration, integrations, workflow automation, access models, vendor coordination, data governance, reporting, and user adoption

    • You are technical enough to work with APIs, SSO/identity concepts, data models, permissions, integrations, and reporting logic — without needing to own the DevOps or endpoint-management stack

    • You extend the IT team’s capability into the business application and enterprise systems layer. While the broader IT teams owns core infrastructure, platform services, and endpoint operations, you bring the functional architecture and administration expertise that turns SAP and adjacent tools into reliable, governed, and well-integrated business systems

    • You are an operator, not just an administrator: you fix root causes, document clearly, prevent repeat issues, train users, and keep systems clean, secure, and audit-ready

    • You thrive in a fast-moving hardware company where systems must support speed, traceability, security, and disciplined execution — without adding unnecessary bureaucracy

What we offer

    • A mission driven environment with the opportunity to work on one of Europe’s most consequential defence challenges, with direct impact on sovereign capability and security.

    • Daily collaboration with top experts across engineering, operations, and defence, with real opportunity to learn from the best, contribute, and grow.

    • High ownership and autonomy; no time tracking, no micromanagement, just clear objectives and accountability for outcomes.

    • fast paced environment where good ideas are implemented quickly, and feedback from test and flight drives real decisions.

    • A culture that values clarity, integrity, and excellence, and supports people who take initiative and push boundaries responsibly.

    • Competitive compensation and real share options aligned to responsibility and impact, not tenure or hierarchy.

At Hypersonica, every hire raises the bar. We are deliberately small, intensely capable, and deeply mission-driven. If this role feels like a strong fit, or if you believe you bring something exceptional that goes beyond the description, we encourage you to apply.

Hypersonica is an equal-opportunity employer and assesses candidates solely on merit, capability, and potential.

You can apply directly to this role or reach out to Nathan Sweeney, Head of Talent. We review every application and aim to respond to all candidates within two weeks, whether the answer is yes or no.
