Location: This placement will be based at ROCKWOOL UK's main offices and production facility in Pencoed, Bridgend.

About the placement:

At ROCKWOOL UK we are on the lookout for the next generation of talent to join our Undergraduate Placement Programme. We have an amazing opportunities for a students who are seeking placement opportunities within our Environmental team during the 25/26 academic year that will give them experience, exposure and insight into the world of work. This is an opportunity for you to be part of a global business that will give you experiences and skills that will be valuable in your future career. This will be a full-time placement that will begin in July 2025 and end in August 2026 and will be based in our Pencoed factory.

What you will be doing:

  • Working closely with ROCKWOOL UK employees, management and other key stakeholders to gain work experience and an understanding of a variety of business processes
  • Getting exposure to the world of environmental work and experiencing how crucial a role it plays in all things ROCKWOOL
  • Supporting departments on a variety of tasks including monitoring emissions and writing reports, as well as being part of a collaborative project with other undergraduates who are part of the programme
  • Ensuring that business activities are conducted in line with "The ROCKWOOL Way"(our values)
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Health & Safety, Production and Engineering to achieve targets and goals

Requirements:

  • Currently studying a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences or any other relevant undergraduate degree
  • Passionate about all things environmental
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a team as well as individually
  • Strong written and spoken English skills
  • Experience working with MS Office Packages – Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Must be able to commute daily to the Pencoed office
