A Day-in-a-Life of our Enterprise Business Development Manager

As an Enterprise Business Development Manager at EatClub, you'll spend your time building relationships with the UK's major hospitality groups - the multi-site chains and household names that can move the needle on venues, not one at a time.

The UK enterprise motion is yours to build. There's no established playbook and no local case studies to point to yet - you're mapping which hospitality groups fit the platform best, identifying the right people to talk to inside each one, and figuring out how to open the door. Some days start with researching a target account's structure and working out whether the CEO, CFO, the Head of Operations , or someone else entirely is the person who can say yes.

Much of your time is spent with senior decision-makers - pitching, demoing, and helping them see the commercial case for bringing dozens or hundreds of sites onto EatClub at once. These conversations move at enterprise pace: some groups sign after a handful of meetings, others take months of relationship-building, procurement and legal review before a deal is signed. You're not chasing quick wins - you're building pipeline that compounds, where one signed agreement can be worth as much as fifty venues signed one at a time.

Deals don't always move in a straight line. You'll regularly hit blockers outside your direct control. Part of the job is spotting these blockers early, working closely with different EatClub's team to understand what's realistic and when, and keeping a deal warm while that work happens in parallel.

Between meetings, you're managing a pipeline of complex, multi-stakeholder deals - updating account plans, following up with prospects, prepping for the next pitch, and negotiating commercial terms as conversations progress.

This role suits someone who's comfortable working without a script, doesn't need a manager telling them what's next, and gets real satisfaction from building an enterprise pipeline - and eventually a market - from nothing.

On any given week, you will be:

  • Building and managing pipeline for prospective enterprise partners to achieve quarterly targets for venues being brought onto the platform across cities and regions Eatclub is live in
  • Mapping the hospitality landscape and identifying stakeholders to engage
  • Meeting with prospective partners and understanding the challenges they face whilst showcasing how Eatclub can support them

Type of projects you’ll be working on at EatClub…

  • Shift the focus from years of experience to evidence of capability.
  • You will be prospecting enterprise partners  through a variety forms - from scheduled meetings, cold outreach via emails, walk-ins, Linkedin and cold calls
  • Meeting senior decision makers virtually and in person to provide pitches and product demos on how Eatclub can help enterprise clients drive footfall and revenue into their sites
  • Building pipeline across the sector to ensure Eatclub can deliver impact at scale whilst hitting your quarterly targets
  • Negotiating and closing commercial agreements with large enterprise clients
  • Supporting enterprise clients with onboarding, providing training where necessary
  • Understanding your market - identifying opportunities through attending events and developing your network of stakeholders

You have….

  • A proven track record building and closing enterprise or B2B pipeline from scratch, ideally in hospitality or hospitality tech
  • Comfort owning the full sales cycle end-to-end - prospecting, pitching, negotiating and closing - without a dedicated SDR or closer to hand off to
  • Experience selling into multi-site or franchise organisations, with the confidence to tailor your pitch for different stakeholders, from a CFO to a Head of Operations
  • A structured, resilient approach to outreach across channels - cold calls, executive email sequences, LinkedIn, events and walk-ins
  • Strong commercial acumen and confidence negotiating and closing agreements with senior decision-makers

It would be extra awesome if you also had…

  • Familiarity with hospitality POS or payments ecosystems (e.g. Zonal, Toast, ComTrex, Square, Lightspeed) and how integration requirements can shape deal timelines
  • Experience selling technical or integration-dependent products, where deals can depend on a partner or platform outside your direct control
  • An existing network of senior stakeholders across UK multi-site hospitality groups
  • Experience in a scaleup environment, building a new function or territory from zero

You are…

  • A self-starter who's genuinely energised by ambiguity - you'd rather build the playbook than follow one.
  • You're persistent and resourceful when a deal stalls on something outside your control, equally comfortable pitching a CFO in a boardroom or working a trade floor.
  • You're commercially sharp, relationship-driven, and motivated by targets rather than intimidated by them.

If you do a good job…

Your ambition is your limit. Not only in earning potential but once you land your first few enterprise groups across the cities Eatclub operates and you've proven the model works. From there, it's yours to own - strategy and execution, both. You expand the patch across the rest of the UK, shaping how EatClub approaches multi-site enterprise sales as you go, rather than just running someone else's plan. And because this UK build is the template EatClub plans to reuse elsewhere, doing it well here is your case for taking it international - you're the person who worked out how to do this from nothing, so you're the person who does it again in the next market.

Same trajectory either way: bigger territory, bigger deals, more of the strategy in your hands - just not necessarily a different job title.

Maybe this role is not for you if….

  • You prefer desk-based or fully remote work.
  • You're uncomfortable with cold outreach or face-to-face selling.
  • You avoid targets, metrics, or performance accountability.
  • You need highly structured days with little autonomy.
  • You're not open to flexible hours tied to hospitality service times.
  • You are looking for the stability and processes of a large tech company.
  • You cannot clearly articulate your performance metrics from your last role.

If you're curious about what we're building, you're welcome to explore EatClub ahead of your interview. First-time users who choose to give it a try can use the code "ECAPPLY5" for an optional $5 voucher to test the experience. This is entirely voluntary and has no impact on your application or interview process.

One last note: even if you feel that you don’t meet all the criteria above, we encourage you to apply. Past work experience is not the only indicator of future success, and we are on the look out for hungry talent who wants to grow with us. So if you want to be a part of something remarkable, then we’re excited to hear from you.
