Here's how you'll make a difference:
Own and lead SoSafe’s business-critical Messaging Platform, responsible for outbound communication across all products
Absorb implementation complexity so that product teams never have to think about delivery mechanics, provider failover or compliance constraints
Build reliability, scalability and compliance in by default
Translate company and engineering strategy into a clear, outcome-driven roadmap, balancing reliability, scalability, compliance and new capabilities
Drive operational excellence through improved monitoring, incident response and continuous improvement
Partner closely with Product and other Platform teams to drive impact across the organisation
What makes you a great fit:
You've led and grown engineering teams and you genuinely enjoy coaching experienced engineers
You're comfortable navigating ambiguity, turning strategy into execution and communicating clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders
You think in terms of reliability, scalability and compliance as first-class design constraints
You're experienced operating business-critical services in cloud-native environments and take operational excellence seriously
You understand what it means to build a platform rather than a feature: your customers are internal dev teams and their success is your success
Our technical environment:
AI-native engineering (Claude, Cursor, Codex)
Backend services built primarily in Node.js (NestJS) in a microservice architecture
Cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, running on Kubernetes with GitOps-based deployments via ArgoCD
CI/CD workflows built around GitHub and automated delivery pipelines
Observability and operational tooling: Sentry, LaunchDarkly, Datadog and more
