Our platform continuously scans patient health records to identify signs of deterioration, early onset of diseases, and opportunities for preventative interventions, serving over 250 primary care practices and covering approximately 2.5 million patients.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to help guiding and grow our talented team of developers while delivering exceptional products and fostering a collaborative engineering culture

Requirements
  • Develop a deep understanding of the team’s systems and their place within the broader technical landscape.
  • Act as the team’s advocate, clearly communicating decisions, trade-offs, and priorities to non-technical stakeholders
  • Anticipate and resolve challenges to ensure commitments are delivered while transparently addressing risks and mitigation plans with stakeholders
  • Leverage data to monitor workflow efficiency and foster ongoing improvements.
  • Cultivate healthy team practices and behaviors that drive optimal performance.
  • Manage system documentation, updates, and proactive infrastructure maintenance
  • Strike a balance between quality, technical debt management, and meeting roadmap goals.
  • Lead efforts to support incident resolution and uphold system reliability.
  • Provide line management for engineers, recognizing their strengths, areas for growth, and career aspirations.
  • Deliver constructive feedback, create opportunities for development, and uphold high performance standards.
  • Contribute to the development and testing of core products and frameworks.

Required skills:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record of managing teams to deliver complex, scalable systems in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong technical expertise at...
    • Architecting applications on the cloud 
    • Python/Node.js/Typescript + React
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud environments (AWS preferred), distributed systems (such as Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and JIRA.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on team-building and stakeholder management.
