Technological progress, demographic changes, globalization, the emergence of new ways of working, and changes in employees' expectations are bringing structural changes and disruptions to society and labour markets. This role will work alongside our investor clients to encourage proactive human capital management strategies at companies to maximize performance with a healthy, engaged, innovative and productive workforce aligned with the undergoing transformation. Human capital management can be a significant risk to long-term value creation as people are a critical component of intangible assets for any business and their capacity to generate shareholder returns. Hence, investors need companies to have a future focused approach to hiring, retaining, and developing talent, and to address the workforce transformation.
This position would suit an ESG professional with a strong background within human capital, but it can also be an exciting opportunity for a diversity, equity and inclusion, human resources or talent and culture professional who is looking for a career change to the investor side. This role offers the opportunity to engage with publicly listed multi-national companies to bring about beneficial change in the company's approach to human capital management, and overall ESG performance. The role blends research and analysis with company, investor client, and other stakeholder engagement, with outcome focused communications. The ideal candidate will be a polished communicator with knowledge and understanding of the wide variety of trends influencing human capital management, including an understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by companies in addressing evolving needs of their workforces in the post-Covid reality.
Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis to identify human capital management gaps and opportunities in investee companies across several sectors.
  • On behalf of our institutional investor clients, undertake dialogue with selected publicly traded companies, through email, conference calls, telephone calls, and face-to-face meetings, on specific aspects of human capital management, such as DEI, mental health and wellbeing, learning and development, leveraging technology, employee experience, etc.
  • Track and understand the latest regulations, initiatives and trends that may affect companies' human capital management.
  • Develop strategies to engage with company representatives (including senior executives and board members) and relevant stakeholders to push for meaningful change.
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual capital and thought leadership through report-writing and public-facing activities.
  • Work closely with colleagues to answer client enquiries and ensure a high degree of client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure that the program continues to develop to meet investor client expectations.


Job Requirements

  • Significant experience operating in a similar role for approximately 10 years
  • Proven track record in human capital management and/or DEI
  • RI and/or ESG knowledge and expertise (especially in social issues)
  • Cross cultural competence for globally relevant communications
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, innovative problem solver with the ability drive engagements to agreed change objectives
  • Service-minded attitude and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to clients and client advisors.
  • Excellent research and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, graphic and written
