As an EMEA Data Governance Senior Associate in the Asset & Wealth Management Chief Data Office, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, managing, and measuring data risk across the region. You will help us influence the mitigation of data risks and drive key priorities, ensuring we operate within our risk appetite. You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement solutions that support our commercial goals, harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning. Your work will contribute to a culture of integrity, innovation, and excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support and drive adherence to data risk management standards by documenting requirements, frameworks, and practices
  • Coordinate regional inputs into governance forums and prepare materials to represent EMEA needs
  • Assist with investigation and resolution of governance or policy breaches, tracking remediation actions and supporting escalation workflows
  • Partner with stakeholders across Controls, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Legal, Data Executives, Product Owners, Application & Information Owners, and Technology
  • Support EMEA data protection governance activities, including tracking artifacts and coordinating classification discussions
  • Identify process improvement and transformation opportunities by documenting workflows and implementing efficiencies
  • Contribute to program delivery by maintaining workstream plans, tracking milestones, and supporting dependency management
  • Support ongoing data risk management activities, including metrics, reporting, and remediation tracking
  • Participate in governance meetings by preparing agendas, capturing decisions, and driving follow-up actions
  • Collaborate with broader CDO teams to ensure EMEA regulatory considerations are reflected across initiatives and programs
  • Oversee activities necessary to support data risk management, participate in firmwide governance forums, lead meetings, and drive action to address requirements

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of control and risk management concepts, with ability to evaluate controls and create procedure and process flows in conjunction with business and control partners
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or equivalent work experience
  • Data governance subject matter expertise and exposure to European regulations related to data management and governance
  • Experience implementing firmwide policies and standards
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience coordinating across functional teams
  • Foundational AI/GenAI literacy and ability to identify opportunities for AI implementation to improve efficiency and drive automation
  • Experience in strategic and tactical initiatives, including problem identification, solution delivery, and ownership of deliverables
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, and multi-tasking
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including concise and timely communications to management and ability to escalate appropriately
  • Ability to shift perspective from high-level overview to detailed analysis, communicate with both business and technology partners, work independently and as a team player, adapt to evolving environments, advanced skills with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and use creative thinking to identify solutions for complex processes and issues

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • In-depth experience with data architecture discipline, including database design techniques, modeling tools, and data architecture principles
  • Certification in Data Technology, Agile, or other project management/business analysis applications
