Mainframe Business Development Manager
As a Mainframe Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for providing subject-matter expertise, thought leadership, and solution/technical specialization to position Broadcom competitively in the market. This influential role focuses on opening key opportunities for our largest mainframe customers by building strong relationships and understanding their business and IT challenges.
What will you be doing at Arrow ECS?

  • Work closely with account teams to understand customer needs and architect solutions that meet them.
  • Build relationships across customers' IT silos to understand their infrastructure, challenges, and the potential technical impact of planned projects.
  • Assist our sales teams in technically qualifying solutions and their benefits to customers and partners.
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Broadcom's mainframe products and provide technical specifications and requirements documentation.
  • Effectively present and position the benefits of Broadcom's solutions to support clients' technical and functional requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight during trials, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and complex demos.
  • Clearly communicate technical requirements and ensure they meet client expectations.
  • Ensure the execution of sales growth plans. Drives results through demand identification and demand creation opportunities
  • Plan and oversee new business initiatives.
  • Research organizations and key stakeholders to find new opportunities.


What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of detailed technical industry-related experience, particularly with mainframes.
  • Strong knowledge of the market, and a good understanding of the added value that a distributor provides to the channel.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of Broadcom's mainframe products and how they address customer needs.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to work independently.
  • Fluency in English. Additional European languages will be beneficial.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, Six Sigma, CISSP, SNIA) will be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills.
