As an Editor for Decanter, you will lead the editorial team and boosting audience to Decanter’s key content by implementing an agreed content strategy built on combining an instinctive market knowledge and a first-class SEO pedigree. You will have oversight of all content, know how to build rankings performance and embed these processes across the content team. In addition to maintaining current quality levels, you’ll develop and improve existing content to keep Decanter fresh and exciting.
What you'll be doing
- Work with the Content Director and Editor, Premium to create an digital content strategy including key subject areas and supporting content plan for each
- Lead the content team, ensuring it runs effectively and efficiently to implement the digital content strategy
- Ensure standards are met and issues are addressed
- Have a vision for the brand and work with the Decanter management team to shape that vision into a long-term editorial strategy
- Editorial SEO and ownership of planners and key documents
- Identify trends within the market and react to market conditions in an appropriate way
- Develop contacts with advertisers and other key contacts within the industry

- An understanding of the Decanter’s subject matter & associated audiences
- First-rate SEO knowledge
- Focussed approach to delivery and reporting. You’ll be totally on top of the numbers and see/share the early trends before anyone else.
- Editing skills which come from a clear understanding of the audience
- You’ll have experience with the data side of web editing and monitor and interpret performance and trends
- Experience writing high-quality engaging, relevant content
