As the Ecommerce Marketing Executive at Yimbly.com, part of Reach Plc, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our new marketplace.

With a creative mindset, a sharp eye for design, and strong skills in communication, design and copywriting, you'll collaborate closely with the Ecommerce marketing, trading, and operations teams to develop and execute campaigns that drive user acquisition, engagement, sales conversion, and customer retention.

Job Description

Salary: Up to £25,000 + quarterly bonus

Location: This position can either be fully remote with occasional travel required, or hybrid working from our Canary Wharf hub.

In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting all key marketing channels - including print, digital, email, CRM, editorial, blogs, social media, Google, and affiliate marketing. You’ll keep ahead of customer behaviour trends in shopping and social media, using these insights to deliver compelling, brand-focused marketing strategies that enlighten our audience and enhance our marketplace’s presence.

Duties include:

  • Deliver marketing strategies to promote our marketplace, increase brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and convert sales across print and digital
  • Work with the Ecommerce Marketing and Ecommerce Manager to deliver monthly reader offers in national print, overseeing creation and delivery
  • Create compelling content for various marketing channels, including email, editorial, and our website, to engage and attract customers
  • Manage the creation and delivery of social media and blogs to ensure consistent communication with our audience and drive repeat engagement
  • Manage the affiliate program, including recruiting new publishers, devising campaigns, monitoring payouts and overseeing commissions to maximise reach and revenue
  • Oversee CRM activities, keeping customer databases refreshed and up-to-date, and developing automated email programs that boost user engagement and retention
  • Implement user engagement strategies, such as loyalty programs, referral initiatives, and personalised campaigns to enhance user experience and drive repeat business
  • Analyse campaign performance, monitoring key metrics and providing actionable insights to the Marketing and Ecommerce Managers, ensuring continuous optimisation of marketing efforts
  • Stay on top of industry trends, understanding customer behaviour, user preferences, competitors, and the latest developments in ecommerce to inform marketing strategies
  • Identify relevant channels, partners, affiliates, and influencers to expand our reach and build brand visibility
  • Support digital advertising campaigns, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and other relevant channels, optimising for best results

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite or Canva or similar software 
  • A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Results-driven and capable of meeting or exceeding targets and deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate unique and innovative marketing ideas.
  • Understanding of online marketing strategies, ie SEO, and social media.
  • Proficient in understanding Analytics and interpreting data
