Role Description 

The Ecommerce Associate Director is a key member of the UK Commerce team. The role is responsible for the delivery of high-quality ecommerce media and marketing solutions across a range of clients and platforms (such as Amazon Ads and Criteo).

You will report into the Account Director and be responsible for the strategic development of your clients' accounts and the organisation of your team. Where possible, you will line manage an Account Executive and be responsible for overseeing the quality of their work, career development, and training needs.

Key Responsibilities 

Commerce marketing 

  • Establish an understanding of all areas of KINESSO’s expertise and the products/services we can provide 
  • Contribute to development of new ways of working that drive results for ecommerce team and clients 
  • Keep up to date with developing commerce / retail media landscape and identify new opportunities for our clients 
  • Collaborate with partners to educate and inspire internally and externally on breadth of commerce offerings and drive adoption of relevant features 

Client management 

  • Lead the client relationship for your clients, supervising the Account Manager and Executives on day-to-day delivery 
  • Work with the activation team to ensure effective client servicing relating to budget management, optimisation ways of working  
  • Protect and grow commerce partnerships with our clients 
  • Lead development of regular results analysis & reporting, recommendations and presentations 

People management 

  • Actively nurture the goal of making KINESSO an enjoyable place for staff to work and for clients to engage with 
  • Develop the skills and knowledge of the commerce team through supervision, feedback, and providing relevant growth opportunities 
  • Delegate tasks at the right volume and level to ensure an acceptable workload for the team
  • Identify opportunities for junior team members to take ownership of tasks or projects to develop and grow 

Commercial 

  • Take a proactive approach in driving revenue via upsells, developing capabilities for existing clients, and pitch support

Desired Skills & Experience 

  • Experience of team management 
  • Experience of planning and managing paid campaigns across Amazon Ads, Criteo, Nectar360 and others
  • Experience of using third party bid management tools (e.g. skai, Pacvue) to drive ecommerce performance  
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the ecommerce flywheel and the impacts of each element on total retail performance
  • Strong, polished presentation, communication, and analytical skills  
  • Communicate effectively at all levels, both up and down
  • Strong client-facing skills: understanding client needs, maintaining relationships, building partnerships 
  • Knowledge of/experience with content optimisation across Amazon and other eRetailers
  • Knowledge of commercial agreements
  • Knowledge of retail insight platforms such as Edge, Profitero, and others
