Job Description

We are looking for a Document Controller, as we expand our Social Infrastructure design team, the role will be based in Dartford.

As our Document Controller, you will:
✔ Manage project documentation— organising, storing, and distributing documents efficiently.
✔ Administer the Document Management System (DMS)—setting up workflows, managing access, and ensuring data security.
✔ Ensure compliance—maintaining records to meet company, client, and regulatory standards.
✔ Support the project team—assisting with document formatting, templates, and best practices.
✔ Monitor version control—ensuring everyone works from the latest, most accurate documents.
✔ Enhance processes—identifying ways to improve efficiency and implement best practices.

Qualifications

🎓 Education: GCSEs/A-Levels; additional qualifications in administration or document control are a plus.
💼 Experience: Previous experience in document control within construction, engineering, or similar industries. EDMS, SharePoint and Aconex, experience with these platforms is preferred but not mandatory.
💻 Technical Skills: Proficient in document management systems (Aconex, SharePoint, Asite) and MS Office.
📂 Organisation & Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks with precision.
🗣 Communication & Problem-Solving: Strong ability to liaise with teams and troubleshoot document issues.
