Job Description

We are seeking a versatile Business Analyst to act as the key liaison between our business units and technical data teams. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, analyzing, and documenting data-related requirements that drive strategic reporting, data governance, and analytical projects across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for data-focused projects, including new reports, dashboards, and data transformations.

  • Translate business objectives and metrics into clear, comprehensive functional and technical specifications for Data Engineers and BI Developers.

  • Define and document data quality standards and acceptance criteria for data deliverables.

  • Facilitate communication and ensure alignment between business stakeholders and technical development teams.

  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet the defined business requirements and data standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar role with a strong focus on data, reporting, or BI projects.

  • Proven ability to successfully elicit, document, and manage requirements using various techniques (e.g., user stories, process flows, wireframes).

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage expectations across different organizational levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of structuring and simplifying complex data challenges.

Highly Valued Skills & Language Requirements:

  • Technical Data Skills (A Strong Plus): Practical knowledge and ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries for data validation, exploration, and troubleshooting.

  • BI Tools: Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

  • Language Requirement:

    • Professional fluency (B2+) in French is highly valued and may be a mandatory requirement for allocation on specific projects with Francophone clients (in Portugal or abroad).
