G MASS Consulting are partnered with a leading hedge fund, as they seek a Disclosures of Interest Analyst to join its Compliance function in London.

This role is centred on the daily execution of the firm’s disclosure of interest obligations. It sits within the wider regulatory reporting and control room function, and the emphasis is squarely on making accurate, timely disclosures day in and day out.

The firm operates a strong ownership culture: individuals are expected to take a process end to end and run it, with the autonomy that implies and the accountability that comes with it. The successful candidate will be comfortable working at pace in a lean team, exercising judgement independently, and escalating promptly where a threshold or a deadline is at risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit the firm’s disclosure of interest filings on a daily basis, across the jurisdictions in which the firm is active.
  • Monitor positions against disclosure thresholds, identifying where notification obligations are triggered or approaching.
  • Calculate holdings and aggregate exposures for disclosure purposes, ensuring the underlying data is accurate and complete.
  • Track filing deadlines across jurisdictions and ensure submissions are made within the required timeframes.
  • Investigate and resolve data or position discrepancies ahead of filing, working with operations, technology, and front office teams as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of disclosures made, supporting audit traceability and regulatory enquiries.
  • Act as a day-to-day point of contact for the business on disclosure queries.
  • Monitor changes to disclosure rules across the relevant jurisdictions and reflect them in the firm’s processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline the disclosure process, and take them forward.
  • Provide cover and support across the wider regulatory reporting function as required.

Requirements
  • Experience of disclosure of interest obligations - major and substantial shareholding notifications, short selling disclosures, or similar - gained at a hedge fund, asset manager, or investment bank.
  • Comfortable owning the daily operational execution of a regulatory process. This is a hands-on position, and suits someone who wants to run the process rather than oversee it.
  • A strong ownership mindset: able to take a process end to end, work without close supervision, and hold accountability for its accuracy and timeliness.
  • High attention to detail, with the discipline to work consistently to hard regulatory deadlines.
  • Strong data skills, with the ability to interrogate positions data and resolve discrepancies before they become filing issues.
  • Sound judgement on when to escalate, and the confidence to do so early.
  • Experience across multiple disclosure jurisdictions is advantageous.
  • Experience within a lean, fast-moving front-office-facing environment is advantageous.

Benefits

Length: 8 to 12 month contract.

Location: London. This is a fully office-based role, five days per week on site.

Start: As soon as possible. Candidates available at short notice are of particular interest.
