Overview
Mastercard's Global Acceptance & Merchant Solutions focuses on making Mastercard the best way to pay everywhere. With our powerful suite of payment products, we are working on shaping the payments experiences of the future. At its essence, building acceptance is about driving the secular shift from cash to electronic payments, with the promise of giving consumers the best payment experience - one that's fast, convenient and secure.
The In-Person Acceptance team is looking for a Director to own the programmatic foundation and enablement model for our contactless innovation portfolio - including Tap to More and new acceptance programs. All about you• Strong payments industry knowledge, with working expertise across in-person acceptance, contactless, mobile point of sale, tokenization, authentication and / or the acquiring value chain.• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels within a global, matrixed organization without direct authority• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive, commercial, and partner audiences• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating structure where no established playbook or industry standard yet exists, while managing multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously• Strategic thinker and problem solver who can identify customer / partner pain points, translate learnings into program decisions, and drive results end to end• Technical fluency and/or experience with industry standards, specifications, and certification processes (for example EMVCo, PCI, MPoC, MTIP) is a plus
