This role will be pivotal in increasing the external visibility of our data assets, positioning them as a leading resource for research and innovation, and driving strategic partnerships with commercial and academic stakeholders.

Establishing thought leadership and brand authority in the health data space, you will ensure Our Future Health is recognised as an essential player in advancing public health research, by driving the external visibility and usage of our platform.

Our Future Health will be the UK’s largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent, and treat diseases. Diseases like cancer, dementia, diabetes, and heart disease affect the lives of many people in our communities. Our goal is to create a world-leading resource for health research, to improve our understanding and spot the patterns of how and why common diseases start, so treatments can begin sooner and be more effective.

As Director of Marketing, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and executing a marketing strategy that enhances the positioning of Our Future Health’s data offering.
  • Developing compelling messaging, content, and campaigns that highlight the impact and potential of Our Future Health’s data for research and commercial use.
  • Managing digital marketing, PR, events, and thought leadership initiatives to engage key audiences.

  • Establishing performance metrics and tracking the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data-driven insights to refine strategies.
  • Building relationships with industry media, influencers, and key opinion leaders to drive brand awareness.
  • Managing external agencies and partners to ensure the successful execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrate support of organisational compliance requirements, including policies, procedures, and controls. This should include ensuring that all colleagues and those completing work on behalf of Our Future Health (e.g., contractors) understand and fulfil their responsibilities that support compliance.

Requirements
  • Senior marketing leadership experience: B2B or health-related sector, ideally within life sciences, data, or healthcare industries.
  • Expertise in demand generation & pipeline growth: Proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies that drive inbound leads and support revenue targets across defined customer segments
  • Product roadmap involvement: The Marketing Director will work closely with the product and data teams to ensure that Our Future Health’s offerings align with market needs. They will help define market opportunity, pricing, messaging, positioning, persona driven assets, and go-to-market strategies for new data products and updates.
  • Market research & customer insights: Ability to translate customer needs, competitive analysis, and industry trends into actionable marketing strategies. The Marketing Director will provide insights that help shape product enhancements and commercial positioning.
  • Brand authority & thought leadership: Experience building brand credibility through PR, content marketing, and industry engagement. The role will position Our Future Health as a leader in the health data space.
  • Multi-channel marketing expertise: Strong experience in content marketing, digital campaigns, events, PR, and partnership marketing.
  • Forecasting marketing impact: While the Sales Director owns revenue forecasting, the Marketing Director will be responsible for pipeline attribution, tracking marketing ROI, and providing performance forecasts on campaign effectiveness.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Close collaboration with sales to ensure marketing efforts translate into revenue and with product teams to align messaging with data offerings.
  • Analytical & data-driven mindset: Experience using marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) to measure and optimise campaign performance.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills: Ability to engage both internal teams and external partners, ensuring marketing efforts align with commercial priorities.
