Following SES's acquisition of Intelsat in July 2025, this role will lead the integration of global recruiting teams and harmonisation of recruitment processes, systems, and practices. The Director of Global Talent Acquisition will shape and execute a unified talent acquisition strategy that supports business growth, enhances candidate and stakeholder experience, and strengthens SES's employer brand. Working closely with HR Digital Solutions, the Director will embed automation and digital innovation to build a scalable, data-driven recruitment function aligned to future business needs.

As Director of Global Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible of :
1. Strategy & Business Partnership
- Develop and execute annual and long-term talent acquisition strategies aligned with business objectives and future workforce needs.
- Partner with business leaders as a trusted adviser to anticipate skills demand and shape proactive hiring strategies.
- Translate workforce plans and skills insights into actionable recruiting strategies, in collaboration with HR Analytics & Workforce Planning.
- Present strategies and performance to senior leadership, using data and evidence to challenge assumptions and secure resources.
- Strengthen the employer brand and build early-career pipelines through partnerships with universities, schools, and industry networks that promote inclusion and belonging.
- Lead quarterly business reviews and vendor performance discussions, leveraging metrics and insights to drive continuous improvement.
2. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and develop the global recruiting team, fostering a high-performance, learning-oriented culture.
- Balance recruiter workloads to maintain delivery quality and service standards.
- Build team capability through structured coaching, training, and clear succession and career development pathways.
3. Talent Acquisition Delivery
- Oversee all aspects of global hiring, including senior executive recruitment, ensuring excellence across sourcing, assessment, and onboarding.
- Implement innovative sourcing strategies across digital platforms and networks to access diverse and high-quality talent pools.
- Reduce dependency on external agencies by strengthening internal recruiting capabilities and measuring performance against defined benchmarks.
4. Operational Excellence & Governance
- Design and continuously improve recruitment processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and consistency.
- Partner with HR Digital Solutions to leverage automation and digital tools that improve candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Integrate workforce and recruiting analytics to give leaders clear visibility of talent supply, demand, and pipeline health.
- Define and monitor recruitment metrics (e.g. time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality-of-hire, candidate experience, diversity), using data to guide decisions and performance improvements.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies, maintaining accurate and auditable records.
- Manage vendor partnerships and recruitment budgets, driving value, cost efficiency, and adherence to SLAs.
YOUR PROFILE
- Extensive experience in Senior Talent Acquisition or Recruitment Leadership, including operational management and strategic development.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering innovative, successful recruitment strategies in complex and international business environments, including scaling into new geographies.
- Demonstrated expertise in process optimization, automation, and digital transformation is a benefit.
- Experience in executive hiring and managing senior search processes, including engagement with executive committees or board governance.
- Advanced skills in operational management or recruitment functions e.g. metrics, KPI management, data analysis, and reporting for continuous improvement.
- Strong team management, mentoring, and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
- In-depth knowledge of recruitment channels, technology platforms, employer branding, and employment law.
- Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, negotiating agency partnerships, and overseeing performance against SLAs.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including early careers.
- Ability to balance team workload and priorities to maximize efficiency and quality of hire.
- Resilient, adaptable, and proactive leader with the ability to inspire confidence and build trusted relationships at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
