This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on digital marketing experience while contributing to one of Morningstar's fastest-growing business units.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience managing social media programs for a B2B organization. You are a skilled writer who can create compelling and on-brand content from complex financial and industry topics. You bring strong attention to detail, sound analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across the organization. This role is based in our New York office and requires 4 days per week in office.

What you’ll be doing:

Industry & Product Knowledge

  • Develop a strong understanding of credit brands, products, audiences, and business objectives.
  • Build deep familiarity with the organization's research offerings, methodologies, and areas of expertise.
  • Build knowledge of the credit ratings industry, competitive landscape, and key market trends.

Organic Social Media

  • Own the day-to-day execution, growth, and optimization of organic social media channels, with a primary focus on LinkedIn.
  • Develop and execute a content calendar that promotes research, market commentary, ratings, events, podcasts, thought leadership, and corporate initiatives.
  • Translate complex financial, economic, and industry topics into clear, compelling, and engaging social media content for senior institutional audiences, including investors, issuers, bankers, asset managers, regulators, and other capital markets audiences.
  • Apply social media best practices to optimize content performance, including copywriting, content formatting, publishing cadence, audience engagement, and channel-specific tactics.
  • Monitor industry news, market developments, and competitive activity to identify timely content opportunities and recommend new content ideas.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, providing actionable recommendations to increase engagement, audience growth, and overall channel effectiveness.

Paid Media Campaign Execution

  • Support the execution, monitoring, and optimization of paid digital marketing campaigns across LinkedIn, Google Paid Search, Google Display, YouTube, and other digital channels.

Marketing Operations

  • Support digital marketing processes and workflows, including campaign intake, project management, and campaign execution to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and on brief.
  • Coordinate with Marketing Strategy, Content, Events, Copy, Design, and other stakeholders to execute integrated digital marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Analyze website and campaign performance data, develop reports, and provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain campaign documentation, tracking, and operational processes to support efficient execution and performance measurement.
  • Keep current with evolving digital marketing trends, social media best practices, emerging technologies, and platform capabilities to identify new opportunities and improve marketing effectiveness.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience managing organic social media programs for a B2B organization, including content planning, content creation, publishing, and performance analysis; LinkedIn experience preferred.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex financial, economic, and industry topics into clear, compelling social media content for professional audiences.
  • Strong data-analysis skills with hands-on experience translating performance data into actionable recommendations that improve marketing performance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in both written and visual communications, with a proven ability to execute marketing initiatives accurately and efficiently.
  • A track record of successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams as well as working independently and autonomously.
