Digital Content Producer

Your Role

 

As a Digital Content Producer at Global, you’ll create engaging social and video content that helps audiences discover and connect with our original podcasts. Working closely with podcast producers, presenters and the podcast video team, you’ll develop content ideas, manage social output, and help grow engagement across key platforms including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Create and plan social content: Build and manage a schedule of engaging visual and social content for Global’s original podcasts, helping audiences discover our shows and driving channel growth.

  • Support shoots and asset creation: Work with presenters, producers, the podcast video team and video editors to capture and create content for social media platforms.

  • Use insight to improve performance: Monitor analytics, share performance feedback with relevant teams, and use learnings to improve future content and audience engagement.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Built strong relationships with the podcast team, video team and wider Global Player teams

  • Planned, created and scheduled engaging social content for a range of podcasts

  • Taken ownership of assigned podcast social channels and managed them confidently day to day

  • Embedded yourself into team workflows and helped ensure smooth delivery of content

  • Contributed positively to a supportive, creative and fast-paced team

 

What You’ll Need

 

  • A passion for podcasts and the podcasting community

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends and best practice, especially Instagram, TikTok and YouTube

  • A good understanding of YouTube viewing behaviour, hooks and retention strategies

  • Proficiency in Photoshop for thumbnails and social graphics

  • Proficiency in Premiere Pro for editing short-form video and social-first content

  • Excellent copywriting skills

  • Experience in community management and audience engagement

  • Strong editorial judgement, with the ability to adapt tone of voice by show, talent and audience

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality content

  • A flexible, positive and organised approach to managing a busy content schedule
