We’re open to applications from people who may require flexible working arrangements. There’ll be an opportunity to discuss your flexible working requirements during the interview process, and at offer stage.

We're looking for a Digital Analytics Manager to join our Analytics & Insights team and help us better understand how customers interact with Co-op's digital services. You'll lead digital analytics across our Food, Membership, Co-op app, homepage and quick commerce (Q-comm) experiences, turning customer data into actionable insights that improve digital journeys and support better business decisions. Working closely with teams across the business, you'll use analytics and behavioural data to identify opportunities, solve problems, and help shape the future of our digital journeys.

Why this role matters

As our Digital Analytics Manager, you'll play a key role in helping teams make informed decisions based on customer behaviour and performance data. You'll have the opportunity to influence digital strategy, lead a team of analysts, and drive meaningful improvements across Co-op's digital channels. It's a role where you'll combine technical expertise, commercial thinking and strong stakeholder engagement to make a real impact for our customers, colleagues and business.

What you’ll do

•    Manage and develop a team of Digital Analysts, supporting their growth and performance
•    Use customer and behavioural data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
•    Design and deliver proactive and reactive analysis to support business priorities and decision-making
•    Work with product, marketing, technology and business teams to understand challenges and provide data-driven recommendations
•    Use SQL to query, analyse and validate data from a range of internal sources, helping to uncover insights and answer business questions
•    Oversee analytics implementation and tagging requirements to ensure data quality and accuracy
•    Present complex analysis and insights in a clear and engaging way for technical and non-technical audiences
•    Help shape the future direction of digital analytics capability, tools and best practice across the business

What you’ll bring

We’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:

•    Significant experience using Google Marketing Platform (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Data Studio, BigQuery)
•    Experience working with visualisation tools (such as Contentsquare or similar) and consent management tools (such as OneTrust or similar platforms)
•    Strong SQL skills, with experience querying, manipulating and analysing large datasets
•    The ability to turn complex data into clear insights and practical recommendations
•    Excellent leadership skills, with experience mentoring and supporting the development of other colleagues
•    Extensive knowledge of web analytics and behavioural analytics tools and techniques
•    Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
•    Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and building strong relationships with technical and non-technical colleagues
•    A commercial mindset and a passion for using data and technology to solve business challenges and improve performance

We know some people may hesitate to apply if they don’t meet every requirement. At Co-op, we’re committed to building diverse and inclusive teams, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly, we still encourage you to apply.

We’re an organisation that puts people and communities first, and we’re powered by purpose. We want this to be a place where you can thrive, so you’ll also receive:

•    An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
•    28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
•    A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
•    Private healthcare
•    Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
•    30% discount on Co-op products and 10% off other brands
•    Stream – early access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
•    Virtual healthcare including GP appointments, mental health support, nutrition and fitness advice
•    24/7 colleague support service
•    Training and support for your development and career progression
•    Cycle-to-work scheme

A place you’ll belong

We’re building diverse and inclusive teams that reflect the communities we serve. We welcome applications from everyone and are committed to creating a workplace where colleagues can feel like they belong, supported by our inclusive policies and the ways we work.
