Lloyd’s is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace, bringing together the world’s leading risk takers to advance global progress.

Our strategy is focused on delivering strong underwriting performance, operating an efficient and flexible marketplace, and maximising the capital advantage of the Lloyd’s market — while continuing to build a Lloyd’s we are proud of.

How we deliver this, matters. We take the risk, make things happen, and own the outcome — working together across our global network to turn insight into impact.

We're looking for a Delegated Authority Oversight Manager to help shape and strengthen one of the most important distribution channels in the Lloyd's market. This is a market-facing role where you'll influence standards, challenge thinking, and drive better outcomes across a complex global network of Managing Agents, MGAs, brokers and delegated authority partners.

If you're passionate about risk-based oversight and building trusted relationships, this is your opportunity to make a direct impact across the market.

The role

You'll oversee the delegated authority capabilities of a portfolio of Managing Agents, helping ensure they're operating in line with Lloyd's Principles for Doing Business while promoting best practice across the market. Working closely with colleagues across Market Oversight, Underwriting Performance and our global network, you'll use insight, data and market knowledge to identify risks, influence improvements and support sustainable market performance.

You'll play a key role in helping us build a more sophisticated, resilient and effective delegated authority ecosystem.

What you'll be doing
  • Providing risk-based oversight of Managing Agents' delegated authority business.
  • Assessing capabilities through targeted reviews, assurance activities and thematic work.
  • Building strong, transparent relationships with market participants to support effective oversight and information sharing.
  • Maintaining Lloyd's view of Managing Agents' delegated authority capability and contributing to governance forums.
  • Overseeing a select portfolio of strategically important MGAs, broker facilities and structured programme providers.
  • Leading interventions where material issues arise, ensuring actions are proportionate, evidence-based and focused on the right outcomes.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across Lloyd's to align oversight activity and share market insight.
  • Acting as a trusted authority on delegated authority matters, responding to complex market queries and communicating Lloyd's risk appetite clearly.
  • Supporting Country Managers in the assessment of MGA applications and local market risks.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and improve the way we work.

What you'll bring

We're interested in people who can balance commercial understanding with sound judgement, influence senior stakeholders and use data and insight to drive positive change.

You'll likely bring:

  • Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple organisations.
  • The ability to assess risk, make balanced decisions and communicate recommendations with confidence.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience turning data into actionable insight.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
  • Experience in delegated authority oversight, compliance, governance, audit, risk or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of the Lloyd's and London insurance markets and an understanding of the wider delegated authority landscape.

What makes this opportunity different?

You'll work at the centre of market oversight, helping shape standards, improve performance and support innovation across global insurance distribution models.

You won't just monitor risk. You'll help create a stronger, more resilient and better-connected market.

Being inclusive at Lloyd’s is integral to how we work — and how we deliver impact.

We take the risk by challenging traditional thinking and being proactive about inclusion. That means being open and positive about workplace adjustments, prioritising health and wellbeing, and investing in diversity and inclusion training so everyone feels able to contribute and succeed.

We make things happen by turning our commitment into action. Through employee networks, mentoring, volunteering opportunities and sustained investment in professional development, we create an environment where inclusion is experienced day‑to‑day — not just talked about.

We own the outcome by focusing on impact. By bringing together diverse perspectives and the best minds in the industry, we work collaboratively with underwriters and brokers to create innovative, responsive solutions that share risk and solve complex problems across global markets.
