hELIOS is the global Life & Health (L&H) administration platform designed to manage individual-level data across SCOR’s reinsurance business. The platform is built around three core pillars:
Business Administration – Streamlining treaty administration processes such as bordereaux management, claims referrals, and medical underwriting.
Operational Efficiency – Enhancing user experience with automated workflows, integrated systems, and consistent data processing.
Data Centricity – Delivering standardized, accurate, and accessible data to support decision-making in areas such as modeling, experience analysis, and knowledge management.
As part of the Forward 2026 strategic plan, hELIOS is being deployed across L&H markets (excluding the US and China) to support the administration of assumed and retrocession premiums and claims.
The hELIOS Business Competency Centre (hBCC) is looking for a graduate trainee to support analysis and reporting requirements using SCOR’s data platform (Databricks & Palantir)
Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities of the role are as follows :
Support business analytics and reporting needs by leveraging SCOR’s data platforms (Databricks & Palantir) to extract, transform, and visualize data for operational and strategic decision-making.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights on treaty administration, claims, and premium data.
Assist in data preparation and validation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with SCOR’s data standards.
Collaborate with business users and product owners to understand reporting requirements and translate them into actionable data queries and visualizations.
Document processes, queries, and reporting logic to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Contribute to data quality initiatives by identifying anomalies, supporting corrective actions, and improving data pipelines.
Participate in ad-hoc analysis projects to support experience studies, operational efficiency reviews, and other business-driven requests.
Assist in change management activities by preparing training materials or guides for end-users on new dashboards or reporting tools.
Qualifications
Required experience & competencies
Experience:
Academic background or internship experience in Data Analytics or Computer Science.
Interest in data platforms, analytics, and reporting within financial services or (re)insurance.
- Exposure to life insurance or reinsurance concepts is a plus, but not mandatory.
Technical skills:
Familiarity with data analytics tools and platforms (Databricks, Palantir, or similar).
Knowledge of SQL, Python, or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Understanding of data modeling and ETL concepts.
- Awareness of Agile methodology and collaborative development practices.
Soft skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.
Clear and confident communicator, able to translate business needs into data solutions and interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing tasks and follow-ups.
Team-oriented with a service-focused mindset, especially when supporting business users.
