Job Description

We’re looking for a Data Quality Manager to help build a proactive and sustainable data quality capability within our Asset Management business.

This is a newly created role combining hands-on SQL analysis with data quality management and senior stakeholder engagement. You’ll develop controls that identify data issues earlier, investigate their causes and help the business understand their impact.

You’ll need strong SQL skills and practical experience of running data quality checks. Just as importantly, you’ll be able to explain technical findings clearly, gather business requirements and build effective relationships with colleagues across Asset Management.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and running SQL queries to identify and monitor data quality issues
  • Developing proactive data quality controls and checks
  • Analysing data to understand the causes and business impacts of quality issues
  • Gathering and documenting requirements from business and data stakeholders
  • Working with senior stakeholders to agree priorities and appropriate actions
  • Coordinating with offshore resources supporting query execution and analysis
  • Contributing to management information reporting and data quality dashboards
  • Helping build a sustainable in-house data quality analysis capability

Who we’re looking for:

  • Strong hands-on SQL experience, including developing data checks or control queries
  • Experience analysing, investigating and resolving data quality issues
  • Good understanding of data quality management and data governance
  • Experience gathering and translating business requirements
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills
  • Confidence explaining technical findings to senior and non-technical audiences
  • The ability to connect technical data issues with their wider business impact
  • Experience with Financial services, investment data, Snowflake, Power BI or MI reporting would be helpful

Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Here are some of the benefits we offer:

  • The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance -related bonus plan and valuable share schemes
  • Generous pension contribution
  • Life assurance
  • Healthcare Plan (permanent employees only)
  • At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service. There’s also the option to buy and sell holiday
  • Competitive family leave
  • Participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand-new electric car through tax efficient salary sacrifice (permanent employees only)
  • There are many discounts we offer – both for our own products and at a range of high street stores and online
  • We’re creating net‑zero carbon workplaces by 2030 by investing in our sustainable, modern offices across the UK, all designed to bring people together and elevate the in‑person experience

Additional Information

At L&G, we believe it's possible to generate positive returns today while helping to build a better future for all.
