Job Type: Full-time

The Company

Currence aims to move the world towards a cleaner, cheaper and faster energy ecosystem. We are an AI-native market intelligence company, looking at the energy build-out, which combines the speed of AI with the trust of expert research.

Our core product consists of a data engine which builds a comprehensive view of the market. This feeds into models and frameworks built by our analysts to create proprietary insights which drives modern investment decisions, pushing us closer to a more efficient energy ecosystem.

We're headquartered in London and New York.

The Team

You'll join our product-focused engineering team of AI and full-stack engineers who build and run the data engine.

This is a hands-on role in a start-up environment. You'll wear many hats: writing specs with engineers, sitting with analysts to understand what they need, and building release plans with the commercial team.

The Role

You'll own the roadmap for our core data product and make sure what we build lands with the people who use and sell it. The kind of problems you'll cover include:

  • Own and prioritise the roadmap for our data engine, making strategic decisions on which datasets unlock the most value for customers

  • Define how data is structured, surfaced and made accessible across the platform to accelerate product development and improve user workflows.

  • Make data sourcing decisions based on what value and access

  • Work across function to understand how we use data, help build GTM material, and maximise our impact

  • Prototype rapidly with messy datasets when needed, building conviction through hands-on exploration before committing engineering resources.

  • Track the metrics we use to measure success

  • Work with stakeholders to unblock decisions and keep scope honest

  • Own data quality by defining standards with engineering and research

  • Run user research, bringing customer and sales feedback into prioritisation

The Essentials

  • 3+ years as a product manager on a technical or data-heavy product, working directly with engineers

  • Familiarity with LLM or agent-based pipelines and how to evaluate them

  • Comfortable with data, you can write SQL, read a schema and visualise a data pipeline

  • Track record of taking a product from user problem to shipped release

  • Strong written communication across technical and commercial audiences

  • Wanting to work in a small fast-moving team with high ownership and impact

Big Plus

  • Experience with a B2B data or market intelligence product

  • Prior experience as an engineer, analyst or data scientist

  • Working understanding of energy and climate tech sectors

Application process

  • Video call with the VP Engineering

  • In-person product case study

  • Technical interview

  • Call with the founders

  • References and offer

Our Offer

  • Opportunity to work and learn in a climate focused tech start-up environment

  • To help us move the market towards a cleaner, better future

  • The excitement and fun of being part of a growing, dedicated and professional start-up

  • Stock options

  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
