Hello! We're Teya.
Teya is a payment and software service provider, headquartered in London serving small, local businesses across Europe. Founded in 2019, we build easy to use, integrated tools that enable our members to accept payments and boost business performance.
At Teya we believe small, local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities.
We’re here because we don’t believe there’s a level playing field that gives small businesses with a fighting chance against the giants of the high street.
We’re here because we see banks and legacy service providers making things harder for them. We don’t think the best technology or the best service should be reserved for those with the biggest headquarters.
We’re here to fight for a future where small, local businesses can thrive, and to commit the same dedication they offer all of us.
Become a part of our story.
We’re looking for exceptional talent to join our mission. We offer a chance to create impact in a high-energy and connected culture, while benefiting from continuous learning opportunities, a supportive community which is proud to serve our mission, and comprehensive benefits.
The RoleWe are looking for a Senior Data Privacy & Governance Analyst to play a key role in ensuring our organisation’s compliance with data privacy regulations while contributing to the evolution of our data governance and AI governance strategy.
You will support the full lifecycle of privacy operations — from managing core processes such as DPIAs and data subject requests, to advising the business on privacy-by-design and emerging AI-related risks.
Working at the intersection of legal, technology, and operations, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data is handled responsibly, securely, and in line with regulatory expectations. You will also contribute to implementing governance frameworks for AI-enabled technologies as the company continues to scale.
Your Responsibilities

Administer and optimise privacy tooling such as OneTrust and Jira to support operational workflows.
AI Governance:
Support the rollout and governance of AI-enabled technologies, ensuring responsible and compliant implementation.
Advisory & Guidance:
Provide clear guidance to stakeholders on data protection, privacy-by-design, marketing consent, cookies, and AI-related risks.
Training & Awareness:
Develop and deliver training and documentation to improve privacy awareness and AI literacy across the organisation.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate privacy operations, improving efficiency and scalability.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Procurement, and Security teams to balance business needs with privacy requirements.
Risk & Compliance Monitoring:
Conduct reassessments of high and medium-risk processing activities and support ongoing compliance efforts.
Legal & Research Support:
Assist Data Privacy Counsel and Legal teams with research and regulatory interpretation.
