About the Role

We're hiring a Data Engineer Consultant to join our growing London practice. You'll work across a mix of client engagements and internal initiatives, building modern cloud data solutions for some of the most recognisable organisations in the UK and Europe.

This is a great fit for a technically strong, hands-on data engineer who wants to broaden their delivery experience, work across multiple cloud platforms, and develop the consulting and stakeholder skills that come with client-facing work.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and deliver scalable data pipelines and integrations on modern cloud data platforms
  • Build and optimise ETL/ELT solutions, applying best practices in data modelling and architecture
  • Partner with client teams to translate business requirements into tailored data solutions
  • Work hands-on across Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or similar environments

  • Engage with stakeholders to influence technical direction and project outcomes

What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years of data engineering experience, with at least 2 years hands-on across modern data platforms
  • Strong SQL, data modelling, and query optimisation skills
  • Practical experience with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS Redshift, or Microsoft Fabric
  • Solid grounding in ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing principles
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a client-facing team

Nice to Have

  • Prior consulting or client-facing delivery experience
  • Familiarity with dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, or similar tooling
  • Programming in Python, Java, or Scala
  • Cloud certifications (SnowPro, Databricks Certified, AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • Exposure to DataOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code

Benefits

  • Hybrid/remote working environment for flexible work-life balance
  • Competitive compensation package + performance bonus
  • Referral bonus scheme
  • Coaching, mentoring, and buddy scheme
  • Certification opportunities throughout your time with us
  • Career growth support, internal moves, and advancement opportunities
  • Team building and networking events
