With over 30 years of experience, we specialise in delivering innovative software products, solutions, and consultancy services that transform complex data challenges into actionable insights.

Our mission is to empower customers across defence, government, and national security sectors to harness the power of data — from geospatial intelligence to advanced analytics and AI integration. We are proud to be a trusted partner to UK defence and government organisations, delivering technology that drives smarter, data-driven outcomes.

We’re also delighted to have been named one of The Sunday Times Top 100 Medium-Sized Companies, a recognition of our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and creating an outstanding workplace where people can thrive.

The Role

As a Senior Data & Digital Consultant at Envitia, you'll help some of the UK's most complex organisations solve challenging business and mission-critical problems through the effective use of data, digital transformation and emerging technologies. Working across Defence, National Security, Government and other regulated sectors, you'll partner with clients to understand their objectives, shape strategic direction and turn ambitious ideas into practical, deliverable outcomes.

This is a consultative role for an individual who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy, architecture, information management, data and technology. You'll lead discovery activities, engage with senior stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and develop roadmaps that help organisations make informed decisions and realise measurable value from their digital and data investments.

You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team of consultants, architects, engineers, analysts and domain specialists, helping clients navigate complexity while ensuring proposed solutions remain practical, achievable and aligned to their wider mission and business goals. Whether identifying opportunities for AI adoption, improving data management practices, designing target operating models or shaping transformation programmes, you'll play a key role in delivering meaningful change.

We're looking for a commercially minded consultant who combines broad digital and data expertise with recognised depth in at least one specialist area. In return, you'll have the opportunity to work on impactful programmes, contribute to the growth of our consulting capability, and develop your career within a collaborative, people-focused organisation recognised as one of the UK's Best Places to Work.

Responsibilities

  • Leading discovery activities, stakeholder workshops and client engagements to understand complex business, operational and technical challenges.
  • Translating client objectives into clear digital, data and transformation outcomes, supported by actionable recommendations and roadmaps.
  • Engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from technical specialists through to senior leadership, building trusted relationships and influencing decision-making.
  • Assessing current operating models, processes, information, technology and architecture landscapes, identifying opportunities for improvement and transformation.
  • Developing target-state architectures, operating models, data strategies and implementation plans that are both practical and achievable.
  • Identifying opportunities to exploit data, analytics, AI, geospatial capabilities and emerging technologies to create measurable value for clients.
  • Supporting clients in establishing effective approaches to data governance, information management, data quality and organisational adoption.
  • Producing high-quality client deliverables including presentations, reports, business cases, visual models and strategic recommendations.
  • Leading or contributing to bids, proposals and client growth opportunities, helping expand Envitia's consulting capability and market presence.
  • Taking ownership of delivering high-quality outcomes, ensuring traceability from client challenges through to realised benefits and value.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience within digital transformation, data, architecture, information management, analytics, AI, or a closely related field.
  • Experience working in a consulting, advisory or client-facing role, engaging with stakeholders and translating business challenges into practical solutions.
  • Broad knowledge across digital and data disciplines, combined with demonstrable expertise in at least one specialist area.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take ambiguous or complex requirements and turn them into clear recommendations, roadmaps and deliverable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, discovery activities and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Strong understanding of how business strategy, operating models, architecture, data and technology combine to create organisational value.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with architects, engineers, analysts and delivery professionals.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience working within Defence, National Security, Intelligence, Central Government or other highly regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting bids, proposals, business development activities or developing consulting propositions.
  • Experience leading client engagements, workstreams or multidisciplinary teams.
