The Cyber Development Manager will drive cyber growth through new broker partnerships, manage key accounts, and ensure alignment with underwriting strategies while collaborating with various teams across the business.
Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join our UK Cyber Development team as a Cyber Development Manager. Reporting to the Cyber Development Leader, this role will play a key part in driving cyber growth by leading initiatives across our regional partnerships, creating efficient development and account management processes, whilst maintaining a strong focus on new broker identification, training, and education.
This is a remote‑based role requiring regular travel across the UK and Ireland. The position will have a strong emphasis on opening new broker partnerships while also supporting and growing relationships with existing key strategic partners. You will work closely with the UK/EU Development Leader and Underwriting teams to deliver the cyber sales strategy, as well as collaborate with development managers across the business globally.
About the role
Although the role will not be directly responsible for underwriting, it will require close interaction with the underwriters to ensure that messaging is aligned with underwriting strategy and to gain insight on day-to-day interactions amongst our underwriters and broker partners. It will equally require regular engagement with Marketing, Distribution, Claims, Proactive and Incident Response divisions.
- Responsible for key account management and performance metrics with a primary focus on strengthening relationships regionally with our core and growing broking partners within UK&I
- Driving cyber growth among current broking partners.
- Development of new broker relationships, including on-boarding.
- Represent CFC as a key regional presence, actively engaging in industry meetings, broker events, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and cultivate strategic relationships
- Lead broker education initiatives and enablement highlighting CFC capabilities
- Participation in the delivery of presentations both live and virtually will be a core part of the role
- Work closely with all CFC teams, including Cyber, Distribution and Digital to develop and execute CFC’s UK&I growth strategy.
- Proactively grow yourself into a well known cyber insurance professional by taking part in industry leading events, such as insurance panels and debates.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of key competitors in key trading territories.
- Identification of new product, marketing, engagement strategies and ideas that lead to cyber growth.
- Frequent engagement with CFC Cyber underwriting teams to align with underwriting strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure cyber solutions are fully aligned with broader relationship management and business development goals.
About you
We’re looking for a motivated and driven self‑starter with a proven track record in business development and a strong commercial mindset. You’ll bring experience and knowledge of Cyber insurance from either a broking or underwriting background, along with a solid understanding of insurance and broking fundamentals and agency management best practices. Experience in a business development or account management role would be highly desirable.
You’ll be an excellent communicator who is highly organised and able to prioritise effectively to meet tight deadlines. Sales‑focused and solutions‑oriented, you’ll have the ability to build new relationships quickly while strengthening existing ones, demonstrating strong negotiation skills and experience delivering presentations to brokers and key stakeholders.
