This role is responsible for delivering Pega data migration and transformation solutions, as well as CMOD document migration solutions from OpenText Livelink and other legacy repositories. The successful candidate will build and support ETL, integration, and document ingestion pipelines, while designing, optimising, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries and data processing jobs. They will investigate and resolve data quality, reconciliation, metadata, and data lineage issues, and support the migration of legacy data and document platforms to modern cloud-based architectures. Working closely with Engineers, Architects, Product Owners, and Business SMEs, they will help deliver successful business outcomes.

For this role, you'll be based at your nearest regional office or hub. We value time spent together to connect with colleagues for collaboration so there will be a regular requirement to attend our Swindon site approximately once per quarter. If you are based at an office location, you'll be expected to meet our hybrid working requirement of at least two days a week, or 40% of your working time if part-time, in the office. Responsibilities

 

We are looking for an experienced Customer Operations Data Engineer to design, develop and support enterprise-scale data migration, document migration, ETL and integration solutions across Customer Operations.

In this role, you will play a key part in modernising legacy platforms, leading the migration of data and documents into Pega and CMOD environments, and ensuring seamless integration across systems. You will be responsible for delivering robust and scalable solutions that support business transformation initiatives while maintaining high standards of data quality and governance.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of cloud-based data solutions, leveraging modern engineering practices, tools and technologies to build efficient, secure and sustainable data platforms that meet current and future business needs.


 About you

 

As a minimum requirement, you’ll have:

 

  • Data Engineering experience within Banking, Financial Services or other regulated industries, delivering ETL, data migration, integration and transformation solutions
  • Hands-on experience delivering Pega migration programmes, including Pega Data Flows, data mapping, transformation, reconciliation, migration and validation of legacy data into Pega platforms
  • Experience delivering IBM CMOD (Content Manager OnDemand) migration programmes from
  • OpenText Livelink, including document extraction, metadata mapping, document ingestion scripting, ETL processing, reconciliation and migration of large-scale document repositories
  • Expertise in Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SAP Data Services (SAP DS/BODS), AWS Glue and dbt, building and supporting enterprise-scale data pipelines, Lakehouse architectures and cloud data platforms
  • Analytical and database engineering skills, including advanced SQL development, complex query optimisation, performance tuning, Shell scripting, relational and NoSQL databases, Vector Databases and end-to-end data lineage analysis
