Customer Marketing Manager

Hi, I'm Chris. I'm a Lead Product Marketing Manager at hx - I joined over four years ago as a Product Marketing Manager. Outside of work you'll find me playing sport (badly), watching reality TV, or taking my dog Lucky to the park (or the pub!).

Product Marketing at hx is a strategic function. We shape the company's positioning and messaging, decide where and when products launch, and build the process that gets them to market. We're growing the team because customer case studies are critical to our success: insurance is a tight-knit industry that trusts practitioner voices far more than it trusts vendors.

This role is a chance to help shape the narrative we take to market and have a global impact on our success. You'll need to be comfortable managing senior stakeholders and have great taste - but what matters most is drive, and a willingness to solve problems as you find them. In return, you'll join a team that's kind, supportive, and full of very smart people who want to go fast and far. If that sounds like you, read on!

About hyperexponential (hx)

At hyperexponential, we're building the AI-powered platform that enables the world's most critical decisions in a $7 trillion industry - which risks to take, and how to price them. These are the decisions that shape real-world outcomes: whether rockets successfully launch into space, autonomous vehicles make it to market, or communities recover after major storms.

Until now, insurance has been making billion-dollar decisions using outdated tools. We're changing that. Our platform brings together data, AI, and human expertise to give insurers the fastest path from submission to decision - helping them move faster, act smarter, and take on more risk with confidence.

Backed by a16z, Highland Europe, and Battery Ventures, we're scaling globally - already trusted by nearly 50 of the world's largest insurers, with zero churn and billions in premiums flowing through hx.

What began as a single product in one market has rapidly evolved into a multi-product, multi-territory platform powering every stage of pricing and underwriting. AI is at the core of what we do - from building the world's first domain-specific AI peer programmer for insurance (think GitHub Copilot with a PhD in actuarial science) to shaping agentic workflows that reinvent how this industry operates.

What makes hx different is the people who build it. Here, impact isn't tied to title or tenure; it's defined by the challenges you take on and the discipline you bring. Surrounded by peers who stretch you, you'll do the best, hardest work of your life in a company engineered to endure.

If that sounds like you, join us in building what comes next.

About the Product Marketing team

Product Marketing sits at the centre of hx's go-to-market engine, translating what we build into stories the market believes. Nothing earns that belief faster than a customer saying it themselves: insurance is an industry where reputation travels through a small number of trusted voices, and our customers include some of the most respected names in specialty and commercial insurance.

As our Customer Marketing Manager, you'll own that voice. Your mission is to increase the frequency, quality, and number of published customer case studies, build relationships with customer accounts so that every testimonial is genuinely mutually beneficial, find new ways to celebrate our customers, and manage award submissions that earn industry recognition for hx and the customers we serve.

This is a role with real ownership from day one. You'll work directly with senior stakeholders at hx and at some of the world's largest insurers, and the content you produce will be used across sales, marketing, and events globally.

What you'll be doing
  • Own case study production end to end - from identifying the story and recruiting the customer through to publication - delivering two published case studies (written, video, or otherwise) per quarter.

  • Publish two additional pieces of customer-contributed content per quarter, from quotes and social content to event appearances, driving hx's key messages to market through customer voices.

  • Build and continually improve our case study recruitment and production process so that participating is low-lift for both our customers and our team, and each cycle runs smoother than the last.

  • Grow engagement across the underwriting community, measured through event attendance, email open rates, and social engagement, particularly on LinkedIn.

  • Identify and manage award submissions throughout the year, coordinating internal and customer stakeholders to produce a targeted number of high-quality entries that increase industry recognition for hx and its customers.

  • Edit and assemble short-form written, video, and social content for promotion and lead generation, keeping every asset aligned with hx's positioning and brand narrative.

What you'll need to have done
  • Taken customer stories or content projects from initial idea through to publication, coordinating multiple senior, time-limited stakeholders inside and outside your organisation.

  • Built content programmes or campaigns where the relationship mattered as much as the output - securing participation, managing approvals and consent, and leaving customers glad they took part.

  • Produced short-form written and video content yourself, with the functional writing and editing skills to create new assets and make light edits without waiting on others.

  • Grown an audience or generated leads through social content, particularly by editing and assembling content for LinkedIn.

  • Demonstrated strong instincts for positioning and messaging - shaping stories that align with a brand narrative rather than just documenting what happened.

  • Improved a process so it lasted: found the friction, fixed it, and made the next cycle measurably easier for everyone involved.

You're unlikely to thrive here if
  • You prefer being handed a finished brief over hunting down a story, winning people over, and solving problems as you find them.

  • You see customers primarily as a source of quotes rather than partners whose goals, reputation, and time deserve as much care as our own.

  • You're uncomfortable coordinating multiple senior stakeholders with competing priorities and limited availability.

  • If reading our Culture Document leaves you feeling neutral rather than energised, hx may not be the place where you'll do your best work. We're building something that asks for commitment and conviction, and we want you to feel excited by the opportunity to grow with us.

Equity: We offer equity across all roles at hx, making it a significant component of total compensation. Your talent partner will be able to share more details about this.
