Job Title: Customer Finance Assistant
Salary: £26,556 - £28,764 per annum
Grade: B
Contract Type: Permanent 
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Department

The Customer Finance Department is an extremely busy area with high levels of demand. We deal with all financial aspects of care delivered to the community, from Homecare, Day-care and Direct Payments to Residential care. The team raises invoices in the region of £13 million per annum in client contributions and feeds into & liaises with all areas of Adult Social Care.

About the Role

The Customer Finance Assistant will be the first point of contact for all client invoice queries. They will be responsible for investigating and resolving these queries with the relevant providers and social care colleagues. They will also be expected to set up and deal with direct debits, raise statement of accounts and liaise with customers regarding refunds that are due. The assistant will also be involved in the day-to-day aspects of the team and deal with additional tasks if required.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for candidates who have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including members of the public, over the phone & face to face and also high moral & professional standards. They must be able to work in a busy environment and manage workload effectively.
