Provide political advice, policy research, and strategic support to the Reform Group Leader and Members; organise meetings, take notes, liaise with officers and external partners, and support decision‑making and representation within the council and wider political networks.

Design and build BI reports and dashboards, transform raw data using SQL, collaborate with stakeholders across Place services, provide actionable insights to inform local government decisions, and support the Business Intelligence team. Basic DBS check required.

Lead and deliver Trading Standards enforcement across consumer protection, product safety and complex investigations. Manage varied caseloads, collaborate with local/regional/national partners, mentor junior staff, and support service priorities including inspections, compliance activity and regulatory enforcement to protect consumers and ensure legal compliance.

Lead tobacco and vape enforcement operations, coordinate intelligence-led multi-agency activity, investigate illicit trade, conduct civil and criminal enforcement, manage a demanding caseload, engage the community and partners, and support training and development within the Trading Standards team.

Provide project, programme and administrative support for neighbourhood health and social care transformation across Thurrock and the Essex ICB. Coordinate meetings, take minutes, prepare agendas and papers, manage actions, handle confidential information, and support integrated working with Council, NHS and voluntary partners.
