We are looking for a Creative Strategist to join our Reach Studio team. This is the perfect role for someone with experience working on exciting branded content, with a track record of curating content ideas for clients.
This is a unique opportunity to work with our national and regional news brands including but not limited to The Mirror, Daily Express, Manchester Evening News, Liverpool Echo and many more. You will support the creative ideation, strategy and execution for our branded and editorial campaigns.
Reach Studio launched last year and is a unique blend of editorial and commercial talent, serving multimedia content to both our audiences and advertising partners. Our dynamic team is made up of highly skilled producers, editors, designers and social media experts. Reach Studio has already launched a variety of branded content and podcasts including the Daily Express’ On the Edge vodcast exploring gritty true crime stories and The Division Bell, a political podcast featuring lively debate from insiders on both sides. From developing existing podcasts to producing new video shows and formats that our huge social audiences will love, we want you to join us for what's next.
This role is home and hub based linked to our London Hub. We are therefore open to candidates based in and around London.
Job Description
What will the role involve?
You will be a strategic and creative support across commercial briefs and editorial projects, using your knowledge of social media trends to inform content strategy for our Gen Z-focused, social-first titles, Curiously and Hear Me Out. You will contribute to commercial ideation sessions, developing engaging creative concepts that win briefs and enhance brand awareness. You will support with script and copywriting for short and long form content.
You will stay on top of social and video trends, ensuring our creative content is recognized as best in class across the industry. You will use data driven insights to inform creative strategy across social and video channels, offering edit feedback to Video and Design teams to ensure ideas are executed to the highest standard. You will provide creative support on content shoots both on location and in our hubs. You will help identify opportunities across the business to develop new content strands and help Reach Studio continue to grow.
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
You have a proven track record of developing creative content for social and video channels, whether editorial or branded, in an agency or in house environment. You possess a strong understanding of visual storytelling, allowing you to deliver engaging cross-platform social campaigns effectively. You are adept at collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders, including Design, Sales, Editorial, and Commercial, ensuring seamless integration and execution of projects.
You are bursting with ideas for great content that Reach Studio can create but also have the analytical skills to continuously review data and content performance. As a social media native, you are well-versed in trends and formats across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat. You ideally have experience working with influencers and talent to create compelling video content (being open to being in front of the camera yourself would be an added bonus!). Your eye for detail and strong organisational skills ensure that all content is crafted to the highest standard.
