At JetBrains, we create tools that empower developers to build the future, but behind every product and line of code is a team that keeps our business grounded, connected, and growing. As we expand our presence in the UK, we’re looking for a Country Manager to lead our UK office with clarity, trust, and purpose.

Our ideal candidate is a driven, reliable leader who thrives on ownership, builds and manages relationships with care, and can represent JetBrains with integrity and purpose. You’ll be the face of our company locally, keeping our values front and center while helping the office flourish. If you’re proactive, hands-on, and passionate about growing something that matters, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Representing the company: Act as the face of our company, handling negotiations, signing contracts, and engaging with stakeholders while following company policies and legal requirements.
  • Managing strategy: Ensure the smooth running of our operations, aligning with shareholder interests and corporate goals by providing feedback and strategic advice to the CAO.
  • Compliance and governance: Fulfill our legal obligations, establish local policies, and adhere to regulatory standards in line with the global company policies.
  • Communication: Keep partners updated on key developments, promoting transparency and trust within the organization.
  • Local operations: Implement company strategies locally, managing the Office Administration team efficiently and in line with global standards.
  • Building relationships: Cultivate long-term relationships with stakeholders, business partners, and authorities, representing our company with professionalism.
  • Financial and business oversight: Supervise and approve the financial performance of the office and its business activities in collaboration with the CFO and CAO, ensuring accountancy is duly performed.
  • Leading teams: Guide and support the Office Management team, setting goals following common group standards and expectations.
  • Safety and well-being: Create a safe and inclusive workplace, complying with local laws and fostering a positive culture.
  • Event management: Organize local events to support our company's goals and foster office development.
  • Professional development: Provide training and growth opportunities for local staff, nurturing talent and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Issue resolution: Address challenges promptly, analyze situations, and find effective solutions to support office growth.
  • Cultural promotion: Uphold and promote our company culture, fostering collaboration and support among employees.
  • Community engagement: Serve as the main contact for local matters internally and externally, advocating for our office and its interests.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience in senior management roles, with experience in the IT industry being a strong plus.
  • Soft skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including discretion, trustworthiness, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Language skills: Full proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Organizational skills: Strong ability to multitask and stay organized.
  • Diligence: Proven ability to act with a duty of care with regard to company resources.
  • Proactivity: Demonstrated ability to take initiative.
Why Join Us?

This is a rare opportunity to shape JetBrains’ presence in the UK at a pivotal moment in our growth. You’ll work closely with global leadership while maintaining the autonomy to drive results locally. We’re not looking for someone to play a role. We’re looking for someone to own it: someone who brings people together, navigates complexity with clarity, and always puts the company’s goals before the personal spotlight.

If you’re ready to take on this challenge and build something meaningful with us, apply now!

Boasting one of the most recognized fintech ecosystems in Europe, attracting billions in investments each year, London's success has made it a go-to destination for startups looking to make their mark. Top U.K. companies like Hoptin, Moneybox and Marshmallow have already made the city their base — yet fintech is just the beginning. From healthtech to renewable energy to cybersecurity and beyond, the city's startups are breaking new ground across a range of industries.
