Lead and execute the companys non-project and trading financings end-to-end: structure deals, build models, manage lenders/counterparties, ensure covenant compliance and reporting, and partner with leadership on capital strategy as the business scales.

Fuse Energy is an energy startup on a mission to make energy abundant and affordable, fast. We combine first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system.

We've raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber.

We're building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries and other generation projects, building our own hardware, improving and developing grid infrastructure, trading power in real time, using AI across the business, and installing distributed energy in homes. By selling directly to consumers, we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers.

Fuse is a capital-intensive business scaling extremely quickly, and how we finance it is central to how we win. As Corporate Finance Associate, you'll sit on the principal side of the financings that fund the company: structuring, negotiating and executing them end to end, directing lenders, advisors and counsel, and working directly with leadership on the capital base of the business. It's the natural next step for a strong analyst or associate ready to move from advisory to principal and own outcomes rather than pitch them.

Responsibilities
  • Structure, negotiate and execute the group's non-project debt: corporate and special-situations facilities including RCFs, working-capital and growth debt, and holdco lines
  • Own the trading financing that underpins our power-trading operations: liquidity, margin and collateral facilities
  • Lead financings end to end from the principal side, from sizing and structuring through diligence, term sheets, documentation and close
  • Build and own the models and analysis behind each transaction: capital structure, covenants, scenario and returns work
  • Manage lender and counterparty relationships and the ongoing life of each facility: drawdowns, covenant compliance, reporting and refinancing
  • Partner with leadership on capital strategy: how much to raise, in what form and when, as the business scales

Requirements
  • 2 to 5 years in leveraged finance, restructuring or M&A at a leading bank, advisory boutique or fund
  • A strong execution record on live financing or M&A transactions, ideally with exposure to leveraged or structured debt
  • Excellent financial modelling and structuring skills, with the judgement to turn analysis into decisions
  • Comfortable running transactions and directing advisors, lenders and counsel under time pressure
  • First-principles operator who wants to build, not just execute mandates
  • Strong quantitative or STEM background
  • Bonus: energy, infrastructure, commodities or power-trading sector experience; familiarity with collateral, margin and ISDA/CSA mechanics; exposure to working-capital, receivables or inventory financing, or to equity and growth fundraising

Benefits
  • Competitive salary and eligibility for equity
  • Biannual bonus scheme
  • Fully expensed tech to match your needs
  • Private health insurance
  • Breakfast and dinner allowance for office-based employees

As we hire globally, benefits may vary by location.
