We’re looking for an experienced project manager and executive assistant to join the brilliant Corporate Affairs team at M&S. Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Director, the right person will thrive in a fast‑paced environment where strong judgement, sharp organisation and excellent business partner management really make a difference.

Our Project Managers play two important roles:  supporting leadership and helping teams stay connected, organised and focused on delivery.

This role has direct responsibility for the executive support of the Corporate Affairs Director, as a central role overseeing the activities and priorities of the team. With a strong emphasis on keeping priorities moving, this person will be a natural collaborator, bringing the right people together and ensuring that the key activity of the department is flagged, coordinated and tracked effectively.

You will be:

  • supporting the Corporate Affairs Director day-to-day, through planning and scheduling
  • helping to drive important business projects as a lynchpin of the team
  • Immersed in the Corporate Affairs agenda of the UK’s most loved retailer.

This role in return provides broad experience with senior business partners and a strong understanding of how different parts of the business operate.

What you'll do

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Coordinating key meetings, agendas, actions and follow-ups to keep plans moving and ensure the right people are involved at the right time
  • Supporting the delivery of recurring business activity and projects by tracking achievements, managing business partners and maintaining momentum
  • Owning and maintaining reporting and planning processes, ensuring information is complete, accurate and ready for senior review
  • Anticipating upcoming priorities and preparing the right materials, discussions and logistics so leaders are well supported
  • Providing high-quality diary, travel and expense support while handling sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Experience working in a busy business environment where you have balanced coordination, planning or executive support responsibilities
  • Confidence to work with senior business partners, ask questions, challenge constructively and help drive actions to completion
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and moving parts with accuracy and pace
  • Sound judgement, discretion and awareness when handling confidential or sensitive information
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to spot what is needed, take ownership and adapt as priorities evolve

What’s in it for you?

Working at M&S means being part of something bigger - helping to deliver quality, value and service to millions of customers every day. We’re inclusive, fast-moving and always evolving, with a strong sense of purpose and a focus on doing the right thing.

Here are just a few of the benefits that make working here even more rewarding:

  • 20% colleague discount on all M&S products and many third-party brands for you and someone in your household, available once you’ve completed your probation
  • Competitive holiday allowance with the option to buy more
  • Discretionary bonus schemes linked to your performance and ours
  • Strong pension and life assurance to help plan for the future
  • Tailored induction and training to support your development from day one
  • Exclusive perks and savings through our M&S Choices portal
  • Market-leading family policies, including parental, adoption and neonatal leave
  • 24/7 wellbeing support, including virtual GP access and mental health services
  • One paid volunteer day a year to support a cause that matters to you
