Marex Solutions - Chief Operating Office (COO)
Our COO team in Marex Solutions play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of new business initiatives for the business. This role relies on building and leveraging relationships across multiple departments to deliver projects and activities that support business growth and optimisation.
The COO team is broken down into the following 4 pillars, all reporting into the Chief Operating Officer for Marex Solutions:
- Sales – delivering new business initiatives, enhancing MI, supporting regulatory initiatives and driving change across the business
- Trading and Technology – delivering new platforms for Marex Solutions, improving our internal infrastructure from risk management to client facing platforms
- Trade Origination – driving improvement in our processes and documentation to support the rapid growth of our business.
- Governance and Strategy – supporting the business growth by raising awareness and engagement of the Marex Solutions brand.

Role Summary
As a liaison between the Solutions business and Control and Support functions of the wider group, you will be one of the key contacts for Solutions. Working alongside key stakeholders in delivering projects related to a range of topics and rolling out new infrastructure, enabling the business to keep growing sustainably and integrating expansion opportunities when they arise.
Your role will sit within the Trade Origination team covering both the Financial Products and Hedging Solutions business areas of Marex Solutions, and therefore will have involvement in other areas of the COO team and wider teams, such as IT, Quants, Sales and Trading.
Responsibilities
The role requires a varied skillset to be involved in, but not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for owning and creating document templates for the Marex Solutions business. This involves but is not limited to:
- Liaising with key stakeholders such as Trading, Sales and Legal
- Working closely with key stakeholders to assist new and existing business, ensuring the business is ready for execution when necessary
- Collaborate with Sales resolving urgent documentation issues, clarification of issues on drafting / templating of documents
- Building tactical and strategic tools to help improve both risk management and client facing experience
- Working closely with Marex IT leads to identify the best representation of products from a document, pricing and trade booking perspective, to enable the business to scale efficiently
- Monitor Management Information (MI) relating to documentation and trade booking errors, to ensure our level of document automation remains above the agreed thresholds.
- Working closely with Trading and Quantitative Analysts to help build and maintain Trading tools to assist pricing and trading of products
- Support regulatory initiatives/projects with the subject matter experts together with Legal and Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

Skills and Experience
- A degree level qualification
- In depth knowledge of Structured Products across a range of asset classes, with experience in the relating documentation such as Termsheets, Pricing Supplements and Key Information Documents (KIDs).
- Cross-asset (Equities, Credit, Interest Rates) experience would be preferable.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to discuss ideas and concepts with stakeholders of all levels.
- Self-motivated, confident, and resilient - able to strive within a profitability driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
- Advanced Excel / coding skills including, but not limited to, VBA and Python is key.
- Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
