We are looking for a well-rounded and experienced Contracts Analyst with a strong background in physical oil, biofuels or related commodity trading. Skilled in drafting, reviewing and managing contracts end-to-end, with a solid understanding of cargo documentation, Incoterms, charter party terms and shipping processes.
Operates as a true partner to trading desks, ensuring contracts accurately reflect commercial intent and deal structure, while confidently challenging discrepancies where required. Comfortable liaising with Trading, Operations and Finance to support seamless execution and compliance across high-volume, time-sensitive workflows. A proactive and reliable communicator with strong attention to detail, adding value beyond administration and contributing to efficient and effective trade execution. 

Key responsibilities
Contract Management:
  • Draft and issue contracts for the purchase and sale of refined oil products (including distillates, biofuels, and feedstocks), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely execution
  • Review and assess counterparty contracts to confirm alignment with agreed commercial terms and deal structure.
Contract Administration:
  • Manage the receipt, verification, and filing of original contractual documents, ensuring all required signatures and documentation are obtained and uploaded to SharePoint and related systems
  • Liaise with trading, operations, treasury to assist the timely issuance of letters of credit etc., and demurrage teams to support efficient operations and ensure proper overall performance of contractual requirements.

Skills, knowledge and expertise
  • Experience of cargo contracts and international commodity shipments
  • Knowledge and understanding of Industry General Terms and Conditions and Incoterms
  • A good understanding of shipping operations and charter party terms
  • Practical and relevant experience in the oil or a related sector
  • Confident and approachable communicator
  • Develop trusting and credible relationships at all levels of the business. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability: understand the overall goals of the team, the wider business, and actively work in collaboration to achieve them
  • Ability to prioritise and work in a structured and ordered manner
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, self-motivation
  • Friendly, enthusiastic and looking to progress within a reputable and expanding organisation
  • Language skills (French, Spanish) are desirable but are not essential.

Greenergy supply over 15 billion litres of fuel annually across the UK, Ireland and Canada – managing fuel supply chains from refinery gates to customer sites and managing over 500 deliveries per day.
