Job Description

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and customer-focused Contract Manager & Project Support Professional to join our team. This exciting and varied role can be based at either our Appleton or Carlisle site and offers a unique opportunity to combine contract and project management with involvement in high-profile events, motorsport activities and customer engagement initiatives.

Primarily supporting the EDF network in Carlisle, you will ensure operational resources are effectively deployed to meet daily performance targets and customer requirements. Alongside this, you will play a key role within our Special Operations Department, supporting a range of projects across motorsport, events, logistics and brand promotion.

 

This position would particularly suit someone who enjoys attending events, building relationships, networking and representing a brand. You'll have the opportunity to be involved with the British Superbike Championship, industry exhibitions and customer events, helping to raise our profile and strengthen customer relationships. There is real scope to make this role your own by driving new opportunities, enhancing customer engagement and becoming a key ambassador for the business.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong account management and stakeholder management experience who enjoys a varied role, is comfortable travelling, and thrives on building lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
  • Act as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor contract performance, renewals and key deliverables.
  • Support project managers with planning, reporting, documentation and coordination.
  • Track project timelines, resources, budgets and action plans.
  • Organise meetings and maintain accurate project records.
  • Liaise with Legal, Procurement, Finance and Operations teams as required.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, delivering a professional and customer-focused service.
  • Support account management activities, identifying opportunities to strengthen customer partnerships and enhance service delivery.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Oversee several key customer accounts, managing vehicle movements, driver allocation and event logistics.
  • Coordinate and support attendance at events, exhibitions and motorsport activities, including the British Superbike Championship.
  • Represent the business at networking opportunities, customer events and industry exhibitions, promoting our services and brand.
  • Support the deployment and management of our electric vehicle event programme, including showcasing our bespoke Ford electric vehicle trailer.
  • Provide back-office operational support, including vehicle tracking and customer ETA updates.
  • Support winter projects, including customer rebranding, staffing coordination and operational planning.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of European events, concerts, exhibitions and touring logistics.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in contract management, project coordination, logistics, or operations.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience within logistics, events, motorsport, or transport sectors would be advantageous.
  • Prince 2’ or equivalent Project Management qualification is desirable
